Rated 5 out of 5Â by Potter Oil Cloth Solution
Soil was falling through the cracks on my work bench when I was working with my plants. I immediately thought of oil cloth. It's durable and looks great. I used closely spaced thumb tacks to secure it to the table. Perfect solution!

The bird pattern was more beautiful than the pictures.
I am using the cloth to cover the top and sides of a buffet I keep in my garden patio for storage.
Potted plants are on top. The oil cloth can take the spill off from watering. And the oil cloth is great for repelling rain splash.
The birds are beautiful and the buffet does its storage work while looking great.

I bought 2 yards of the Foliage "oilcloth" last August to use as a table cloth. I loved the pattern and have been using oil cloth on my table, with excellent results, for years. I bought the yardage instead of the tableclth hoping for extra inches of width for a wide table. The fabric is beautiful! Unfortunately, it is not as sturdy as all the other oil cloth yardage that I have bought and used. The underside appears to be fabric,-unlike the other oil cloth yardage, and was tearing at the table corners within 2 months. The top needs to be protected with placemats to keep it from being scored by normal activity and is easily stained. I believe this is actually laminated fabric, not oil cloth. This fabric is twice as expensive as the oil cloth that it replaced, but is definitely not as durable. Still love the pattern, but definitely not worth the price plus shipping!

I've purchased this material in a table cloth already made and hemmed. I love love love the material but the odd sized table that I have is not standard so I've decided to make my own. I also like aprons made from this material. However I would like to request a new design dark green to a yellowed green fern pattern on white. (Reason: ferns are found all over the world and food and even patterned dishes look fantastic on green leaf patterns. It would have the eco-friendly look so many folks are gravitating to nowadays.) Not use to seeing items such as this in Alabama. This item and many others remind my wife of her home in London. Really cheers her up as she has not been home in a while.

I got this because my 2 grandchildren are always coloring and using markers at the kitchen table which is now stained. This fabric is heavy-duty and wipes clean in an instant and can be cut to any size. The red/white checked looks lovely in my Red country kitchen!

Every year at Christmas I make poteca for my sister and brothers. It's a sweet yeast dough pastry that has to be rolled out to 20"x30" before the filling of ground walnuts, brown sugar, butter, and flavorings is spread on, rolled up, and baked. Our grandmother and mother would make it every year and since they are both gone now, it's up to me to carry on the tradition, which I love.
Last year, there was no poteca because by the time I discovered my husband had thrown out my pastry cloth instead of washing it, it was too late to do anything about it.
This year, however, I got smart. I ordered a one yard length of oilcloth from Vermont Country Store and let me tell you, it is the perfect pastry cloth. It has just enough "grab" that you don't have to use much flour, but at the same time the dough slides over the surface without sticking. And clean up is a breeze.
Thank you so much, Vermont Country Store, for saving a tradition and a marriage!
