Long before “going green” was cool, frugal-minded Vermonters set a wooden drying rack next to their sink to air-dry plastic bags, bottles, and towels so they could reuse those everyday items that many people toss out after just one use. Made of solid Vermont pine, our kitchen drying rack has seven 12" long unfinished spindles with painted finials (paint colors may vary) attached to the sturdy, round, 6" diameter base, so you can dry many plastic bags, towels, or dishcloths at one time.

Just What I Wanted!! My sister has something similar and I've been looking for one for myself for YEARS!! I use it continually, and although it dries plastic bags nicely, it also dries other short things! (Like an ankle brace) June 8, 2015
Rack I have been searching for a rack to dry plastic bags and milk jugs. This is perfect and the height of the spindles and the spacing is ideal - plus the number of spindles. Very well made product and great for countertop use! March 20, 2015
Spreading the Word about Drying Racks I have owned a drying rack for some time. But only one family member had noticed it. A few weeks ago I washed some plastic bags and put them on the drying rack shortly before a small family get-together was to begin. I put the rack in the usual spot - on a shelf over the kitchen sink. Surprise! Surprise! my daughter in law noticed it, and wanted to know where it came from. I told her that I had purchased it from the Vermont Country store. I don't think she was familiar with your store, and I thought I would give her your address later on. A day or two later my daughter visited me and mentioned that she wanted to get one of the racks for her husband. She felt the rack would be a big improvement over clothes-pins clipping the bags to all the kitchen cupboard door handles. I said I'd order it for her and I also ordered one for the daughter-in-law who had been so enthusiastic at the family get-together. She was so pleased when I gave it to her shortly after its arrival at my apartment, as she had really wanted one. My son-in-law was also happy when my daughter took him his rack. Result: There are three of us happy to re-use and re-use plastic bags that have dried on the Drying Racks you sell. There are fewer plastic bags tossed in the rubbish and our kitchens look much neater, even after we have washed the bags we are recycling. March 19, 2015
Makes recycling bags of all kind a snap I used to use magnetic clips on the side of my refrigerator to dry out reusable bags, but it makes more sense to use this on the counter and avoid wet spots on the floor. It's well made and attractive, too and looks at home in my new kitchen. February 10, 2015
Aid to Frujality I bought this rack for my mother, who likes to save and re-use plastic zipper bags, and she is thrilled to have a good way to dry them conveniently, plus the design is attractive. May 28, 2014
Frugality rules! I have had a similar drying rack for many, many years but it had definitely seen better days, one of the rods having come out of the base, so I was delighted to find another. Several friends have asked where I bought my old one - now I'll be able to refer them to you. April 12, 2014
perfect & natural i love the wooden articles from vt cntry store April 3, 2014
Big Rack - Dries well The size of this rack both makes it great and limits its usefulness in our kitchen. It takes a lot of space but does what it does very well. I would have checked "maybe" on the recommendation to a friend question if that had been an option. I would rather have a more traditional rack...if I had the space! It certainly does help to dry out things quickly and well which is a plus in Florida where mildew should be the state flower. March 28, 2014
