Rated 1 out of 5Â by Corgicourt So disappointed!!!!
I was so very disappointed in this product. This ironing board is so poorly and cheaply made and so short in height only a child could stand comfortably and iron on it. I would NOT recommend this for any craft person or quilter. I will have to have my husband reconstruct it. I am frankly shocked that Vermont Country Store would sell such a cheesy piece of garbage.

Rated 3 out of 5Â by Hesshogs Good ironing Board--Wheels Next To Impossible to Install !!
A compact, useful little ironing board. Just what I expected. The plastic casters with metal stalks are intended to be popped into plastic receivers on the bottom of the shelving unit. However, they required 250lbs of body weight to snap into place! We were concerned the amount of force required might break the frame-assemble with caution and and expect to use force.
Some engineering should be applied to the caster receiver to permit a reasonable assembly process, please.

Rated 5 out of 5Â by DianneE Works great.
I don't iron a lot but there are times things need that touch up. This is very short but as it says on the box its more for sitting and ironing although I found it easier to just stand for the few things I do. It is sturdy and since I put a towel on it to iron I am not concerned about the cover. The basket drawers are extra space to store. My cat loves it too when I'm not using it.

Rated 1 out of 5Â by I have no idea. Great Features, Bad Cover
This products works well in my small home, but on my second time to iron with it my iron burned right through the ironing board cover. Now there is a large hole in the cover and my iron is ruined because the cover melted onto it.

I did my research on this purchase. I'd been chasing a good price for months, finally settled on the VCS offer. Perfect, even though shorter than I thought. I have MS, which is tiring for the smallest tasks. Bought an inexpensive adjustable stool so I can sit while ironing. Perfect height for my 5"9" frame. No sore legs. But what really bought this one was that it arrived completely assembled. Only had to put on the wheels, and good to go. I do not have a problem with the cover melting or becoming anything other than warm feel to top. For folding laundry before it gets dumped into the basket, open it up and voila`...perfect place to fold. Perhaps the other reviewer was using too hot an iron! I have no issues other than this is a great idea and I am very pleased VCS made it possible.

Rated 4 out of 5Â by Alegria Good concept requiring attention
The product description mentions a cotton cover with foam padding. The catalog photo shows the iron in its holder and a folded shirt on the board, suggesting to me a recent ironing task completed. Please note however that my first use at high temperature with steam ironing a linen shirt led to a melted pad, not just the foam but the cotton cover too leaving a gooey mess on my iron's sole plate. In my experience therefore I'd say this ironing board definitely requires a heat-resistant cover on top of the original striped cover. I'm not sure I'll find one in this non-standard size & shape so I suggest the VT Country Store ask its vendor to ship one with the product. At this price that seems reasonable. Also the board even with its casters is much lower than a standard board--and I'm not unusually tall--but it's okay given the other good features, it's folding arms and storage drawers. Bottom line: the product comes from a good concept with one flaw that needs to be--you can see this coming, ironed out.
