Westbend clock I really like like clock! It is quiet , reliable and battery controlled. The only problem I have had with it is installing the battery when I take the back off . The plastic turn knobs break off which set the time but I use a pair of pliars. April 3, 2015
Just another battery operated clock The old Big Bens were dependable as long as you wound them up. The tic-toc sound would put to sleep and the alarm would shock you awake. The new clock has none of these attributes. January 10, 2015
BIG BEN CLOCK FITS RIGHT IN I had been looking to replace a clock radio that broke from age in our guest room when I came across the Big Ben in your catalogue. It fits perfectly in my décor and will never breakdown! Love it! January 8, 2015
Reliable, even when hurricane is howling Having spent 6 weeks with no power and relying on two too-small generators for water, pumping well-water, flushing toilets, and everyday things we usually never think about, when some family members were notified to report back to work, we needed reliable non-electric alarm clocks. Nothing better than this 1949 Big Ben. Hurricane Andrew pounded us, but we got back to work ON TIME with Big Ben. January 5, 2015
WW II memories... We had an identical alarm clock since the late thirties, which my mother used clandestine during our + 3 1/2 years of concentration camp occupation by Japan in Indonesia. Because of the memorable value of our clock, my mother brought it to a reputable watch/clock maker in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, for an overdue checkup…. Because of its unique history, the reputable clock makerer "lost" it, most likely sold it for a fortune to the Big Ben comp. in London….. We never saw the clock again! June 2, 2014
Great non-electric alarm clock My husband's 90 year old mom still lives alone and she has a hard time resetting the clock in the event of electric outages. She was so thrilled to get this clock because she could reset the time and the alarm time, see the hands in the dark and it was like the one she used to have. She hugged it when we gave it to her! Old Timey Look-Newer Technology I had been looking at this old Big Ben alarm clock for awhile- Grampa had one- his was a wind-up. I am glad that I don't have to wind it up daily-probably wouldn't get done (heh heh). I do wish it had a ticking sound to it, but I mainly wanted it for the looks, so am pleased with this purchase. What Our Customers Are Saying about Our 1949 Big Ben Alarm Clock …

"Dear Mr. Orton, I received many gifts this Christmas. However, my favorites were the Baby Ben Clock and Tangee Lipstick. Thank you so much for having these products. I hadn't realized the Baby Ben had disappeared until my old one died. You can't imagine my excitement when it appeared in your catalog and I put this on the top of my list. The gold color is great. The Tangee also reminds me of my teen years. Just sniffing the tube is wonderful." - Janice Bockmier, Santa Clara, CA

"When I was a little girl, this alarm clock sat on the nightstand next to my father's side of the bed. I can still hear exactly what the ticking and the alarm sounded like. I was born in 1953 so that was a lot of years ago. My dad has been gone for many years so this will be a wonderful way for me to remember him every day." - Bev Stirling, Morrisville, PA

"I can agree with the woman about the Big Ben Alarm Clock and how it reminds her of her father. I also grew up with that clock beside my bed. Hearing the ticking sound reminds me of a peaceful, secure childhood in Norwich, Vermont. A wonderful town. I miss those things, but that clock takes me back. That sound takes me home, got to get another one soon :)" - Jonathan Ossman, Mount Bethel, PA
