I had bought the weather haus for myself recently, so happy to find such a sweet reminder of my childhood. My parents were from Switzerland so it is familiar to me. I bought the weather haus for my granddaughters, the oldest being 3 1/2 years old, thinking she may enjoy the haus. Sure enough, my granddaughter was very proud to show and explain her new weather haus to her cousin and other grandmother, she has even given the the girl and boy names!! Each morning while I was there, she checked who was outside and let me the know what the weather was going to be. A fun way to start the day!!!

I bought this German Weather Haus and set it up on a window ledge in my office. It works great! As it is supposed to, the lady comes out when nice weather is predicted and the man comes out when rain is forecast. The weather haus is well built and looks terrific. I'm glad I bought this.

I bought this German Weather Haus for a friend and another for myself. We both love the look and quality of construction. Neither of us has been able to get it to work to predict the weather. Mine always has the woman outside the house. I have a feeling that we did not set it up correctly, or that we have placed it in the wrong location. We are going to keep trying since we both like the look and the idea.

Rated 4 out of 5Â by American Idiot. Almost the real thing!
I bought this as a gift for my sister, to replace one that she lost. When we lived in Germany, in the 1950s, we bought a Black Forest weatherhaus that was almost exactly like the one you guys are selling. The one difference that I remember is the thermometer. I, personally, haven't seen the actual weatherhaus, since Janet lives in Utica, New York and I live in Annandale, Virginia. Janet loves it. My only criticism would be that I would rather have it without the thermometer. The thermometer is kind of irrelevant, since the point of the weatherhaus is whether it's going to rain or not, and also it would record the temperature indoors, not outdoors. Also, it just looks wrong on the front of the weatherhaus. It takes away from the authenticity. So take the blasted thing off, and it'll be perfect! Then maybe I'll buy one for myself.

Rated 5 out of 5Â by Weather Watcher Lots of Fun Watching the Weather
We love this little weather indicator. It's so attractive and we never get tired of checking it out. It would be great for children, but my 94-year-old mother loves it, too. Read the directions on the back to set it up, and then keep track of weather changes by watching who comes out of the house.
