Works Very Well We had quite a draft coming through our front door. The draft stopper did just that and it looked good while it worked. I did shorten it a bit by shaking down the pine needles tucking in the excess cloth and stitching it closed for a perfect fit. It rolled a bit better that way too. April 3, 2014
Balsam Draft Stopper We kept getting a cold draft from the cellar so we bought this draft stopper. It works great to stop the draft and the light balsam smell is terrific. February 28, 2014
Door draft stoppers are GREAT! Our cabin has old windows which unfortunately are not energy efficient. I ordered enough draft stoppers for most of our windows just before our annual New Years Eve party. Not only was the cabin amazingly warmer, everyone loved the balsam fragerance. Then I ordered more for the whole house. Not only are the drafts gone ahd the fresh fragerance remains, our heating bill actually went down! Couldn't ask for more. January 29, 2014
Where's the fragrant smell of pine. The door stoppers serve their purpose but are advertised as exuding an aromatic scent of balsam needles. I guess once you take them out of the box & hold them under your nose, there's a momentary scent of pine. But laying on the floor next to the door, I'll be darn if I can detect a trace of pine, even within a foot or two & my sense of smell is pretty sharp. Oh well, as long as they keep the draft out, you can stuff them with limburger cheese for all I care. January 3, 2014
Does Its Job I have a guest room which I keep unheated when not in use. I purchased the door-size draft stopper in the color blue to prevent cold air from seeping from the unused room into the rest of my home. It works very well. It's also pretty and smells nice when one places one's nose right up against it. After the holidays, I plan on buying two more in the window size. December 19, 2013
this product has a great scent. My daughter's friend walked into home by front door entranced and said "every time I walk in it smells like christmas." My daughter friend also proceeded to comment loudly "now that's real christmas!",after I explained it was stuffed with vermont real pine needles. And the two girls my daughter and her friend are 15 yrs old. October 14, 2013
Cats Love It We recently lost our home to a house fire and are renting until our house is rebult. The rental house is always drafty and cold and the power bill was outrageous. We purchased the draft stopper as a means to lower the power bill and keep the warmth inside. The first night we put the draft stopper down the cats (all four) wouldn't go near the front door but they did stop to take a whiff. Three days later, all four cats were in love with the draft stopper. They not only love the smell but they use the draft stopper to rub on. So, it's a dual purpose object - it keeps the warmth in and keeps the cats happy. Happy cats - happy life! March 5, 2013
cold draft gone I live in a century old house and the front door is original, and very drafty in our Ohio winters. Now I can walk past the door without feeling cold air. It is to large for my 32.5 inch door, but I did read in the directions that the end could be shortened, which I will do "someday". I love that is filled with balsam. January 26, 2013
