Woven into each Mountain Weave tablecloth is a rich history of self-reliance and ingenuity that harkens back to the homespun fabrics hand-loomed in the mountains of Vermont 150 years ago. Only instead of using whatever material happened to be on hand like our forebears, they’re made from the finest USA-grown cotton woven on state-of-the-art looms by master weavers here in New England.

The soft, sturdy fabric is then sent to our neighbors down the road in Dorset, Vermont where each tablecloth is individually cut and fringed by hand. The result is an attractive yet durable table covering that’s reversible so you can simply flip it over to hide those unsightly spills and extend time between washings.

For best results, machine wash cold and stretch the tablecloth while it’s line drying. Washing tightens the weave and softens the fabric for a thicker and more cushiony look and feel. Expect up to 10% shrinkage due to the 100% cotton weave; if the table linens are machine dried, you can expect increased shrinkage. Made in the USA.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Fondest Memories One of my fondest memories of growing up was when my mother bought the Red Traditional Mountain Weave Tablecloth and Napkins from Vermont Country Store. I remember the first time she laid out the tablecloth how bright and warm the table looked and how nice it was to wipe my messy face with the napkins. Our family would stop by the Rockingham store on our way to our summer vacation and we would always get your fresh oatmeal cookies and usually some "penny candy" to enjoy on the trip to Lake Winnipesaukee. Very pleasurable trips. November 20, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by The entire store makes a grown woman feel like "A kid in a candy store"! My story begins with my desire I had for several years to visit The Vermont Country Store in person. I am from Louisiana and had planned a vacation to Vermont to go leaf peeping October 2011. Two weeks before we were scheduled to leave I ripped my meniscus and had to have surgery. Needless to say we were unable to make the trip to Vermont. I was heartbroken. I knew Vermont had experienced Hurricane Irene several weeks before. Being from Louisiana and very familiar with hurricanes I knew it was probably for the best that our trip was postponed. So in October 2012 we made the trip and I must say the scenery of the foliage down the back roads was breathtaking. BUT, when planning the trip, as I did last year, one thing that was a MUST was to visit The VCS. I actually, planned it in my itinerary and reserved one afternoon for shopping there and eating at the restaurant. The only way for me to describe my experience at the VCS is this. . . . I was a kid in a candy store. I loved everything. I bought lots of stuff and had it shipped home #so convenient#, but my all time favorite product that I bought was my two Mountain Weave tablecloths. I had been eyeing them online for years and on this trip I bought both of them and I love them. They are beautiful on my tables. I just ordered and received today the matching Mountain Weave napkiins. These two tablecloths are heirlooms for me to hand down to my children. I love shopping at the store online but the real life experience was going there in person. This Louisiana girl wants to be able to go leaf peeping again next year in Vermont, and if we do you can be sure The VCS WILL be a definite on my itinerary. Fall Foliage and The VCS - what an awesome vacation! November 7, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Beautiful table experience I bought the mountain weave napkins for a gift, they were so beautiful, my friend loves them, so then, I ordered the mountain weave table cloth. It has made my whole kitchen and dining room a beautiful experience. It is so soft , and the colors that you can choose from are simply elegent. I plan on purchasing another color for the Holidays, they make wonderful lasting gifts. Thanks Vermont Country Store, November 6, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by I LOVE this tablecloth!! The first one I bought shrunk to much even though I line dried it so I would recommend you order a size bigger. But they took it back & exchanged it for me with no problems at all. It washes great & has not faded at all & I have had it for a year now. We have 5 kids & lots of neighbor kids who have spilled lots on it. So far everything washed out great. And it's made in America! I love doing what I can to help keep jobs here. The VC Store is great to deal with. November 6, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Just like mom used to have! Ever since I can remember my mother had this same tablecloth on our dining room table. After years of use and having food spilled on it mom decided to find a replacement. Only thing is, after 20+ years these tablecloths seemed obsolete. We looked in stores, online, and even at our local re-sale shops to no avail. One day I was browsing the Vermont Country Store's website and couldn't believe what I saw. Mom's tablecloth, available in a ton of different colors! The Wedgewood Blue & White is an exact match to the tablecloth we used to have. I ordered 2 sets with the matching napkins, one for mom, and the other for myself. We both love them! The quality is amazing and the fabric is extremely durable. It's hard being 1,400 miles away from my mom, but seeing this set on my own table reminds me of home. Hope you continue to carry these! November 6, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by great tablecloth I own four of these Mountain Weave tablecloths now, in different sizes. I am a weaver myself, and am impressed with their heavy duty quality. Easy care (machine wash, and I machine dry too, even though it recommends line dry to reduce shrinkage). This new one--a hard to find square shape--was generously sized to allow for shrinkage, and now it fits perfectly. Perfect color--I know the color will remain great wash after wash. Highly recommended AMERICAN-made product! October 23, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Long wearing table cloth I recently purchased a new Mountain weave table cloth, however I am also using a Mountain weave cloth I gave to my mother 30+ years ago. It has been washed and dried many times over the years and still looks good. A wee bit frayed at the edges is the only sign of wear. October 19, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by High Quality This is a durable well made tablecloth. Worth the price! October 1, 2012
