Woven into each Mountain Weave tablecloth is a rich history of self-reliance and ingenuity that harkens back to the homespun fabrics hand-loomed in the mountains of Vermont 150 years ago. Only instead of using whatever material happened to be on hand like our forebears, they’re made from the finest USA-grown cotton woven on state-of-the-art looms by master weavers here in New England.

The soft, sturdy fabric is then sent to our neighbors down the road in Dorset, Vermont where each tablecloth is individually cut and fringed by hand. The result is an attractive yet durable table covering that’s reversible so you can simply flip it over to hide those unsightly spills and extend time between washings.

For best results, machine wash cold and stretch the tablecloth while it’s line drying. Washing tightens the weave and softens the fabric for a thicker and more cushiony look and feel. Expect up to 10% shrinkage due to the 100% cotton weave; if the table linens are machine dried, you can expect increased shrinkage. Made in the USA.

weave tablecloth I have used these for years and the new color options are wonderful. They look great and hold up through years of washing. a truly worthwhile product. May 15, 2015
Excellent, BUT SHRINKS!!!! I have recently ordered many items in the black/stone pattern. IF YOU ALLOW FOR AT LEAST 10 TO 15 PER CENT SHRINKAGE IN OVERALL SIZE, and that works for you, you'll absolutely love these cloths. They're much heavier than they were many years ago. I did wash my items before using them in order to have them fit on my table. Washed on gentle in cold water. Mostly just let them soak for a while, only a little agitation w/only a little bit of liquid detergent. Still put them thru 2 rinses. Again, very little agitation. Put them in the dryer to tumble on air only. Needed to do that because they do wrinkle a little, but will fall out over time. Personally, I would prefer to have a black & white pattern instead of black & stone. I have several items from a long time ago in the black & white. Try to be very careful that you don't get a pulled thread in them. These are mostly for "show". In my kitchen, I use clear plastic place mats. If you dab up spots at the time they occur, they are very easy to keep clean without stains. May 15, 2015
Disappointed I was disappointed in the quality of this tablecloth. It is stiff and not very thick. May 15, 2015
Country Table This is the second tablecloth that I have gotten through the Vermont Country Store. The quality is the best. I love the colors available for purchase. My first one is still in use and looking good after about 15 years! May 7, 2015

Lovely! I purchased the mountain weave tablecloth and it is lovely! I'm sure it will only get softer with each washing, but still be very substantial! March 20, 2015
Still a Great Product Purchased before Vermont Country Store at local stores. Now happily find product still as good as ever at Vermont Country Store. Careful care - hang on line or no heat setting on dryer. 72 years old - tableclothes will out live me. Touch of home - using many tablecloths, past and present. Excellent purchase. March 11, 2015

What Our Customers Are Saying about Our Original Mountain Weave All-Cotton Tablecloths …

"My husband and I have only been married for 7 years today, but I "inherited" a whole house full of stuff when we got married. There was a whole box full of these tablecloths, and most had been used only a few times, but many had seen a number of years of use, some up to 20 and were still serviceable. I saved the red and green one for Christmas, and the blue one for everyday, and the rest I shared with family...they are still in great shape!" - cathi cogle, Seymour, TN

"I have been ordering Mountain Weave tablecloths and napkins for about 30 years. Even the oldest ones are still in good shape. Our family uses them every day, as well as for company meals. Whenever we changed decor or table size, we just ordered more. They all come in handy in our new house, where we have room to set up several tables at one time for parties. They can't be beat for easy care, cozy appearance, and durability." - Shannon Chamberlin, Little Rock, AR

"These are my favorite tablecloths. A friend from New England introduced me to them years ago. The best thing about them is no ironing is required! And they come in a host of wonderful colors. They are great for everyday use and also for company. I love the feel of the cotton; it's so much better than the polyester table linens everyone else sells." - Kathleen Panek, Springfield, PA

"I inherited several of these wonderful tablecloths from my mother, and I know a few are over 30 years old. The best part is that I have colors that are no longer offered! Now that I have a new adjustable table, I'm so glad I can order some new for myself, in colors my mother couldn't get!" - Wendy Saunders, Oyster Bay, NY

”The woven table cloth is beautiful and easy care! It can be dried on the air setting without shrinkage and removed promptly with no need for ironing. My family and friends have commented on how nice it looks. I plan on purchasing it another color.” - Karol-Ann Rogers, Feeding Hills, MA
