Old-Fashioned Aluminum Tumblers (Set of 4) they are like the tumblers we used at the beach in the fifties and sixties. June 14, 2015
OverPriced These are a very thin guage aluminum. The color is only on the outside and the feel is uncomfortably light. Other than that, they're fine. June 10, 2015
Childhood memories My daughter has wanted a set of these old fassioned aluminum tumblers for years she remembers having kool aid out of them as a young child visiting her Grandmother. So when she told me she had found them on your site I quickly ordered then and had them deliverd to her home. When she received them she texed me this responce "ga-going! Happy girl knows what they sell at this store! Can I open it?" She is thrilled with them. Thanks for making another happy memory April 28, 2015
Sweet Memories I loved these glasses as a child. To get them, one had to buy them at the grocery store as they were filled with COTTAGE CHEESE. We used the glasses as our only glasses...none others would do. There is a couple of differences with these beauties and that is the weight is a little less, the inside is different and the rim is changed the most. The Cottage Cheese ones had no lip on them as these do. All in all, I love looking at them.....it is like going back in time and being a kid again. Thank you Vermont Country Store. January 20, 2015
They are just like I remembered I ordered the smaller tumblers and am very pleased with them. I received a brain freeze (lol) the first time I used them. I had forgotten after all these years just how cold the tumbler keeps your drink. In the future, I will be ordering the larger tumblers making a complete set. July 7, 2014
Just Like Gram's I ordered these tumblers, but have had them in the past. I NEVER have problems with the color coming off. My suggestion to those that do: Use Lukewarm water; don't let the tumblers sit in hot water with detergent; I use Dawn liquid, wash them quickly, no soaking, no scrubbing with cleanser/brillo etc. I use a soft cloth. And I guarentee the finish will last for years.. my last set (8OZ) now I got 16OZ.. havent faded yet, and its been 5 years. June 26, 2014
nice trip down memory lane I was so anxious to get these because we had them when I was a kid in the 1950s. I hand washed them as everyone said to, but the paint is coming off all of them very quickly, so that was very disappointing. Other than that it was fun to remember my childhood for a while. Drinks taste so cold in these tumblers, and if the paint stayed on I would have been so happy. December 18, 2013
Memories of Grandma's house! I was so happy to see the aluminum tumblers in your catalog. My children were discussing memories of Grandma's house. She recently passed away, and they had many fun memories of staying at her house. They said "remember those aluminum glasses? We always fought over who got the blue one! I wish we could find some. She served rootbeer floats in them and they got so cold!" I thought that would be a good surprise, extra, Christmas gift for them. Well, I ordered the wrong number & was shocked to receive the small tumblers. Customer service was very kind in helping me to get the correct ones! Thank You September 6, 2013
