After following his father into the glass business as a teenager and learning the business from the bottom up, Thomas Mosser’s dream of opening his own glass company in the Midwest was finally realized decades later when he opened Mosser Glass in 1971. Mosser’s passion for working with glass and his commitment to quality is reflected in both the beauty and rich details that embody this masterfully crafted Georgia-pattern glassware. Each thick, durable piece is made using original molds and features a classic "thumbprint" design for easy handling. We’re offering this Mosser glassware in three deeply vibrant colors—cobalt blue, emerald green, and ruby red. Red glass is a bit trickier to make than the blue or green as is contains a rare element, selenium, which accounts for its rich ruby color and slightly higher price.

  • Original Georgia pattern with classic "thumbprint" design
  • Made in the USA by Mosser Glass
  • Mosser glass in three rich colors: cobalt blue, emerald green, and ruby red
  • Available in 9 oz. and 12 oz. tumblers, 14 oz. goblets, and 54 oz. pitcher

solid well made drinking glasses We've tried so many small tumblers over the years and eventually they all seem to break at some point. Too thin glass - hard to wash, etc. However, these glasses are so sturdy and strong. We love the colors and the opening makes it easy to get your hand inside to wash. May 6, 2014
Head start on Christmas 2014 I gave this as a gift at Christmas, and it was so loved, I decided to buy enough to complete a set.....so I have purchased my first Christmas 2014 gift! January 25, 2014
Brings back wonderful memories of family Christmases. My mother used this exact pattern of glassware in red and green for Christmas gatherings when my brothers and I were growing up. When she passed, we split up the set, but there weren't enough for all of us to get very many, so I was absolutely delighted to find the glassware in your catalog. I purchased enough to round out my set, and will be using them this Christmas! December 9, 2013
Just what my sister-in-law wanted! True story. My two brothers, their wives and I took our Mom to a wonderful New England restaurant, Hawthorne by The Sea to celebrate Mom's 96th birthday. I've been many times but one of my sisters-in-law had never been and was most enthusiastic when our water was served in cobalt blue glasses. These are people who have everything they want so I paid attention when she gushed. Couple days later VCS catalog arrived and lo and behold same glasses...Mosser cobalt blue Georgia pattern. Can't wait for her to open her Christmas present! November 14, 2013
I love Mosser Glassware I have order from The Vertmont Country Store, the collection of different size of glasses, cups, pitcher and plates. I love the cobalt color. They are heavy, easy to have them on your hands. I order two cups on Red color and they are beautyfull to. Each of the pieces are made unique, the Antique molds made little variations on the rim and base size. That's natural and I like It. That demonstrate they aren't mass production pieces. They look great on every ocassion you use them. Thank You October 23, 2013
Beautiful Glasses I love these glasses. Bought a set for us about 2 years ago and we just love them. Very durable and gorgeous as well, we use the red ones at Christmas and during the year. When my son in law got married I bought a set for them and they just love them! These are a great buy for the money, you cant get this kind of quality any where else :) September 30, 2013
PERFECT!!! So far I've purchased 6 small & 6 medium tumblers in green. Next will be 6 goblets also in green --- all for my nephew, a horticulturist, whose entire home is "green", literally and figuratively, from the solar panels on his roof to the wood stove in his dining room on which he does a lot of cooking as well as using it for some of his heating. The glassware is chunky enough for this great guy and looks fantastic in the china cabinet he built. He's such a fantastic person --- always doing for others. I figured it was about time I did something for him. September 2, 2013
A Red Pitcher The red pitcher is beautiful. I love it. Just waiting to decide what to order to go with it. Can't decide which type container to order for drinking the beverage that's in the red pitcher. July 29, 2013

What Our Customers Are Saying about Our Georgia-Pattern Mosser Glassware …

"It is very RARE to find this CLEAR and VIBRANT RED GLASS. It’s gorgeous I can’t wait to get mine...It looks so gorgeous. It will go wonderfully with the other colored glassware I have in the China Closet...THANKS for offering it again...WHEW" - Carol Hempelmann, Greenbrier, TN

"My brother and I grew up drinking from the green Mosser glasses as children on our grandparents' farm. My brother was always especially fond of them. When my grandmother passed away, he wanted the glasses, but they were already spoken for. This will make his Christmas!" - Suzanne, Abilene, TX

"I am 52 years old. When I was 7 or so, my parents had these glasses (I loved them even then) in red, purple, yellow, green and blue -- I've been trying to find them -- finally! I'm so happy." - Valerie, Zionsville, IN

"In the late 1930's my twin sister and I spent several weeks each summer with our "2nd Mom," Aunt Blanche, on their small farm near Vancouver, WA. Every meal was made special with these Mosser glasses; each of us had our own color (most of the time!). It was always "milk all 'round?"" - Jan Hyde Kophamer, Rising Fawn, GA

"I just love this Mosser Glassware, especially the red. It is hard to find red items. I have my kitchen in roosters and Coca-Cola motif. Red is the color I chose to accent these two things. The glasses are just beautiful. I have the 9 oz. and the goblets. I would also love to have some juices in the red. I had this very style of glass in amber back in the '70s or even the late '60s. Loved them then. They were the 11 oz. tumbler. Thanks to the U.S. company making them." - Sandra Hart, brandon, MS

"My Aunt Lilly had these in every size when I was a kid. I spent a lot of time and had a lot meals there. Brings back good childhood memories." - Sylvia, Saratoga, CA

"I literally gasped when I received the ruby glasses and pitcher. The glass is thick and heavy in that gorgeous red that just left me speechless. I will be purchasing more of these to pass down in my family. Thank you so much for making these available!" - Stacey, Powell, TN

"I received the cobalt blue goblets from my parents as a Christmas present, and they are really beautiful. The quality is wonderful, they are a very durable weight and size. You shouldn't have to worry at all about them breaking. Completely worth buying!" - Michelle, Kernersville, NC

"I have had 12 of the red glasses for 45 years now, purchased at an estate sale. Since, I have purchased the pitcher and the juice glasses. I absolutely love them! I use them on every special occasion. Mix with white for Valentine's Day, gold for Christmas. Everyone admires these." - Carol Hempelmann, Greenbrier, TN

"In the late 1930s, my twin sister and I spent several weeks each summer with our "second mom," Aunt Blanche, on their small farm near Vancouver, Washington. Every meal was made special with these Mosser glasses. Each of us had our own color (most of the time!). It was always "milk all 'round?"" - Lois Hall, San Marcos, CA

"I have a set of the ruby red glassware, but I got mine back in the early '70s. The goblet is a totally different style than what you have pictured. Also, one item that did not come with the set were the salt and pepper shakers, which I would love to have, but I notice on the site that only the cobalt blue are made. I guess it is possible that my set is not the same, but the pitcher and tumblers are identical in style. Very pretty, rich red for these, and even after almost 40 years of owning them, the red is as rich as they were when I got them. Over the years I have been attempting to find matching tableware -- plates, soup bowls, etc. The glass is well balanced and sturdy. They really do make a beautiful, dressy table. Pictures do not do this glassware proper justice." - Robin Cook, San Diego, CA

"Why do I like this product? Old and precious memories from my childhood. Grandma and Grandpa's house. Their house had the aroma of good things to eat -- crisp lace curtains -- love and warmth. Snow white china -- and beautiful red and blue glasses that fit my little hand! What more could a little princess want? Thanks!" - Jan Hyde Kophamer, Rising Fawn, GA

"Green is my favorite color, and right after I got engaged in April, we started looking at dishes. We found green and white every day, but no glasses. Then I saw them in your catalog, and ordered eight small glasses and the pitcher. They are great! They match perfectly and remind me of some Depression glass I've seen and wanted. Thank you so much!" - carolyn commander, waco, TX

"Bought my first tumblers in 1984 and have so wanted to buy more. They graced our table on our farm for years, and now to be able to replace them is a wonder! Thank you. And . . . will you be having them made in the red/cranberry color, too?" - Phyllis Detwiler, West Yarmouth, MA

"12 goblets and the pitcher were one of my wedding gifts from my mother in 1965. I still have these except for two and love them as much as ever, always evoking special memories of my mom who's now deceased. " - Kittye Bolin, Dallas, TX
