Woven into each Mountain Weave tablecloth is a rich history of self-reliance and ingenuity that harkens back to the homespun fabrics hand-loomed in the mountains of Vermont 150 years ago. Only instead of using whatever material happened to be on hand like our forebears, they’re made from the finest USA-grown cotton woven on state-of-the-art looms by master weavers here in New England.

The soft, sturdy fabric is then sent to our neighbors down the road in Dorset, Vermont where each tablecloth is individually cut and fringed by hand. The result is an attractive yet durable table covering that’s reversible so you can simply flip it over to hide those unsightly spills and extend time between washings.

For best results, machine wash cold and line dry; stretch the tablecloth while it’s drying. Your new tablecloth might feel thinner and stiffer compared to old favorites. This will change after a few washings as the cotton fluffs and softens with each wash for a more cushiony look and feel. Expect up to 10% shrinkage due to the 100% cotton weave; if the table linens are machine dried, you can expect increased shrinkage. Made in the USA.

Rated 5 out of 5 by My dream tablecloth & napkins I have wanted the wedgewood blue Mountain Weave tablecloth and napkins for a long time, but I always hesitated ordering it for myself because, with 4 kids and 13 grandkids, there was always something else at higher priority. Well, I finally did order it, after we "downsized," and I was so very excited! I read that there was shrinkage, but I carefully washed it & did everyone I thought necessary to prevent much shrinking, ended up not even reaching the edge of my 68" round table. I spoke to someone from the store and they said of course I could return it. So I had to, but with much sadness. I love your store & I absolutely loved the soft natural feel of the fabric. I appreciate everyone's wonderful attitude through this process. I would only say to expect more than "some" shrinkage. And please, please, please convince your weavers to offer a 90" round!!! Rated 5 out of 5 by A gift to be treasured We visited your store on vacation, about 25 years ago, and I've ordered through the years. I was always interested in the beautiful handwoven tablecloths, and this year I decided it will be a perfect Christmas gift for my daughter-in-law in Hawaii. Her table was made by my son, and is seven feet long. The cloth is beautiful, and I'm sure it will be in use on Christmas Day! October 3, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by They wear forever! I got a new color in my favorite tablecloth. Yes, they do shrink when dried, but I buy accordingly. I love the bulkier look after they are dried. September 22, 2016

Rated 5 out of 5 by one of my favorite stores. I am remodeling my Dining Room and adding color, as in Cranberry Walls (after all this is New England). My new table cloth in Butternut, from Vermont Country Store, looks perfect , and it's easy to clean and reversible. WOW All this and beautiful too. September 14, 2016
Rated 1 out of 5 by They don't make them like they used to Very disappointed. Bought this tablecloth to replace the one my mother had for many happy years. The new one was so thin compared to the original one. At this price we are going to return it August 29, 2016
