Longcils Boncza Cake Mascara
Fantastic look & especially good for sensitive eyes
I had run the gauntlet trying to find a silky looking, non-irritating mascara that didn't clump, flake or wear off to give me raccoon eyes by the end of the day. This mascara if the tops!!! I found the application very easy and it comes off easily in the shower without any special eye makeup remover. It never irritates my eyes nor do I have 'lash fall'. My lashes look long and silky until I wash it off even in the North Carolina heat and humidity. Don't ever stop carrying Longcils!

Unusual but Very Glamorous!
Very expensive for mascara but honestly this product will last for ages. This took quite a bit of trial and error to apply b/c the brush is very large -- I think you could use a regular mascara brush to apply if you don't like the one provided. Anyway, this goes on a bit thin at first and separated my lashes more than I would have preferred...so I applied coat after coat after coat and finally got the look I wanted. It's thick and very black and it made my lashes look fabulous. More importantly, I have very sensitive eyes that water at the least little irritant...this mascara did not bother my eyes at all!! I'm thrilled to find this. I hope VCS will continue to carry this...it makes me look and feel glamorous...and yes, a little like Marilyn!

Works even in hot humid Texas
I live in the very hot and humid state of Texas and have oily skin. Had spent the day taking care of my mother and fell asleep on the couch with clothes and makeup all on. Next day! My mom thought I had gotten up early because my makeup looked so fresh. Mascara smeared when I finally jumped in the shower. Will need a little help with eye makeup remover which is fine by me? Great staying power!

Recently my dear friend, Bonnie, had a birthday. She specifically said, "No presents", but it was too late because I had already ordered the Longcils Boncza Cake Mascara for her. She had mentioned more than once how she missed using cake mascara, it was her favorite kind, but she couldn't find it anymore. As soon as I saw it in The Vermont Country Store catalogue, I knew I had to get it for her. When she opened the package (after fussing at me because I gave her a present), she was thrilled and admitted she was glad I broke the rule. Thanks for helping me gift my friend with a bit of practical nostalgia.

Silky, really black lashes and natural looking
I remember my mom using cake mascaras so I thought I would try this. It takes a little bit to get the technique down pat, but once you do, the mascara can't be beat. The rich, black color is unlike any wand mascara you can buy no matter what you pay. Also, it does not clump. You can layer on the layers and it still won't clump. Also, no makeup remover needed! It comes off easily but lasts all day. It didn't irritate my eyes, either so that was a perk. It looks very natural and pretty. I am switching to this now and not using wand mascara anymore.

This product is a bit difficult to apply, you have to have a steady hand as the brush is not as easy to handle as a wand type applicator. It takes a while to "dry" so it can get messed up easily if you blink or look down. If you master the application process though, it looks goood on, very sleek and smooth and no clumping. I think people that are not patient would be frustrated with this product.

With the upcoming Holidays upon us, I have been remembering my late mom and some of the little things growing up. One of the little things I remembered was the cake mascara in a little red container she used to apply when she was going out for special occaisions. I remembered that her eyes looked so beautiful when she wore this, they were beatiful without as well but this would totally enhance their beauty. I had been thinking about her little red container and wished that i could find this product for myself. While going through the mail I had received your catalog and found it!! Incredible!!
