What scent? This was a special gift. I am embarassed because there is no discernible fragrance to this after shave. It looks like blue water-no scent. A waste of my money---I expected better from Vermont Store. May 14, 2013

Very Nice! I bought this for my husband, and to my surprise I found that I enjoy wearing it too! I love aftershave and cologne on a man, but find that so many of them are just to overpowering. I'm kind of sensitive to all of the modern scents that all seem to have a very artificial/chemical undertone smell to them. They give me a headache, and make my eyes water. This one does not! This is great for both men and women. Smells nice and natural and drys down to a very soft scent. You can distinquish all of the herbal, citrus, and woody smells, yet they don't compete with each other, but combine to a full yet lightbodied scent, that just enhances that fresh bathed or shaved aura. Light Temporary Fragrance This has a nice scent for a few minutes. It is mostly citrus notes, but within an hour it fades to undetectable. I wonder if this would be more long-lasting if it were in a heavier solvent, perhaps a fragrance oil instead of the very light alcohol base. The fragrance is clean and refreshing while it lasts, and can be worn by male or female. December 14, 2012
More convenient than a trip to Paris I used to buy 2 bottles of 4711 Eau de Cologne every time I went to Paris. I packed them in my carry-on to make sure they had a safe journey. Now, one can no longer pack liquids of that size/weight in carry-ons. The Vermont Country Store to the rescue!
