Made by skilled metal craftsmen in Solingen, Germany, these nickel-plated, German-steel toenail clippers trim and tame even the toughest, thickest toenails without fuss or strain. The ¾" forged steel blades are curved and hand-sharpened for precise snipping, while the buffer-spring mechanism opens and closes, smoothly and effortlessly, for easy operation. Handles are grooved for increased grip and work for both left-handed and right-handed folks. The hooked safety-catch secures the blades for safe storage, yet opens easily when the handles are pressed firmly together. Works great for fingernails too! 5½" long.

Disappointed I purchased these Heavy Duty Toenail Clippers for my husband - we are of an age whereby we are beset with thick toenails!, and while we expected the best because they are made of German steel, and of German origin - which is historically the best for this sort of thing - we were disappointed because...... they are very stiff to operate, and the cutting blades are too thick and not sharp enough. I would not recommend them. June 3, 2015
Disappointed The clipper does not cut my toe nails. I couldn't get any results. My wife had to poke quite a bit to get any somewhat passable results. May 29, 2015
These are great nail clippers Not only is this a great bargain but the quality of the nail clippers is A-plus. But then it just proves again that all products from VCS are of the best quality. I have never been disappointed with Vermont Country Store in all my years (which are many). April 9, 2015
Finally....strong nail clippers DO exist! The clippers were exactly as advertised. They were easy to hold, sharp and cut thick nails cleanly and quickly. Good product. April 9, 2015
Tough As Nails? They probably are, but at 70 years of age with arthritic hands, I need to find some way to use them without hurting the palm of my hand so badly! I'll work something out. March 26, 2015
Hard to use, dull blades These are hard to close. The blades are dull. And, they rip my toenails off rather than cut them. I threw them out. March 24, 2015
Clippers I bought a pair of these clippers before this order. These have to be the best ones I've ever bought. The only problem I've had with them is trying to get them closed. I have arthritis and it's hard to get the clippers closed. But, they are very good. March 13, 2015
The clippers were too dull and blunt to trim thin finger nails. The clippers are worthless for trimming toe nails. The clipper blades meet at the point and become farther apart down the blade. I have improved the sharpness by filing with a small diamond file. The clippers are also too small to grip. You need to review the products you sell. January 31, 2015
