Other bath brushes grow mildew and the bristles fray, but not our bath brush. Our bath brush has a combination of natural boar bristles and nylon bristles that is soft and gentle on the skin and long-lasting. The sturdy plastic handle, which is slightly curved, also resists mildew.

Mixed Bristle Bath Brush is rated 4.1 out of 5 by 21.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Exactly as pictured The brush is exactly as pictured long enough to get the middle of my back with firm (but not too firm) bristles. I knew exactly what I wanted, went to the catalog and purchased it. Note that I live in a suburban town near a major city -- and I couldn't find what I was looking for in the store.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Back Brush I bought this brush a few years ago mostly for scratching my back. I'm on Warfarin which apparently causes itching and this brush was a God send! I still use it as it's just right for that purpose so, I ordered another one as a spare when the bristles on the first one got soft. Unfortunately, the one recently ordered was softer that the first one and has little use for my purposes. In fact, it's softer than the older brush which has seen daily use. I needed something a bit stiffer, like the first one I bought which was exscellent. I don't know if different materials were used for this last one or what for sure. They both look alike but don't feel the same.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Bad choice of handle material. The handle on this item is plastic and impossible to hold when hands are wet and especially when soapy.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Impractical Brush The brush does not absorb and hold liquid soap because the bristles are all plastic. Thus, this product really does not work well in a shower. Quite simply if you want a brush to use daily, this is not the product. It simply does not do the job.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Practical well-made Bought this for spouse to replace older wooden/boar brush we bought from you years ago. He liked the new bristles but said plastic handle is more slick than wooden one was.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Itchy back Needed a way to really scrub the middle of my back. Tried other brushes but they were too soft. The bristles fell out of one I used!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from It's nice to have the feeling of a scrub back. I remember using this bath brush many years ago and was delighted when I stumbled across it in the Vermont Country Store (VCS) catalog, I prefer using and/or wearing items that are made from natural fibers/materials. Having used several different types of bath brushes over the years (brushes that never held up for any length of time because they either broke, disintegrated, or whatever) it was good to see a decent quality brush being offered. The bristles are soft yet strong enough to clean the tough areas w/o taking off a layer of skin. I have two suggestions ([granted these are only my opinion] that would have given the brush a 5 star rating) are: 1) the handle being 3" longer, (15" long vs. 12"). 2) the end of the handle have some type of rubber grip so the brush wouldn't slip so easily out of your soapy hands and give you better maneuverability.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Hard to find I wanted a brush that curved TOWARDS my back. Most do not. This one curves the right way, and the bristles are firm but not harsh.
