Once this classic bird from the 1950s starts drinking, he just won't stop! Simply moisten the drinking bird's head and place him next to a full glass of water and watch as he drinks from it for hours. And while it may seem like magic, the constant bobbing is actually based on the science of thermodynamics, which makes it that much more fascinating to behold. Bobbing bird is made of glass and plastic. Approx. 7" tall. Ages 8 and up (for use under adult supervision).

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Childhood Memories I had purchased this item back in the late 60's for my young son as a birthday gift. When I was at your store in Vermont I saw the drinking bird, but didn't buy it - then as Christmas approached I thought of it as a fun memory for my now, grown son, as a fun Christmas gift. The entire family just sat and smiled as the bird drank the water - Fun times for all of us :-)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from New way to make friends Gave one to my daughter, who took it to work. Many people ask how it works. Think my daughter may have to take a course in Thermodynamics to explain its strange behavior ! :-)
