Greatest Candy in America Jelly sticks are a candy that has been a staple in our family Christmas since I was a child. My parents always had some of this delicious candy given as gifts to us. All of the children would eat these sticks, but they were doled out very sparingly to make them last and each of us would always get our fair share. (That was a very hard job for a mother.) As I grew up and left home, these candies are not found in the normal stores where Christmas candy is sold. It was so exciting to find them in your catalog. We had to order the 2 boxes, orange and dark chocolate raspberry, to augment our sweets for this holiday. Thank you so much December 29, 2013
But Aunt E... Aunt E had a hinged cover, skillet-shaped, candy dish, and it was filled with these yummy chocolate-dipped Jelly sticks! I would stealthily (at about age 10) approach the dish, and snitch one (or two if I was quick). Oh, soooo yummy! When caught, or told to stay out of the candy dish, I would protest! Now, thanks to the Vermont Country Catalog, I am able to enjoy, and share with others, these delightful, tasty treats. I prefer the dark chocolate, but enjoy both. December 28, 2013
Delicious Very refreshing and flavorful. I ordered the orange and raspberry. Very good product and I will buy again. December 25, 2013
Nice, BUT! The orange sticks were my late mothers favorite from before I was born. Sweets is a small candy company in Salt Lake and has been in business since 1892. My usual purchases from VCS is usually food and usually something I have not seen in a long time. Just as I expected, they were wonderful, the flavor and quality have not changed at all, and they are US made. Now for the bad part, they charged me exactly double what I could order them from the factory for! I know this is a business, but that glaring of a mark up made me curious so I started checking out some of the other stuff and to my surprise it was at least double and sometimes MORE! I still like the catalog, but I will be checking BEFORE I buy to make sure this does not happen again. October 16, 2013
Finally found them I have loved these sticks for a life time, but always had a hard time finding the cherry filling. I can find the orange just about anywhere, although not as good a quality or taste as The Vermont Country Store. You offer the orange sticks in the milk and dark chocolate, I would also like to see the cherry in the dark chocolate. Thank you for a trip down memory lane. October 8, 2013
I was going to save some for my daughter, but..... These candies were too darned good! When I was a teenager in the late 50's, I would go to a big department store in downtown Lincoln, NE and buy a selection of these chocolate coated raspberry and orange jelly treats. They also had orange peel slices that I loved. What a delicious memory! You have brought this back and I'm going to have to order some of the orange peel candies now! I was trying so hard to save some for my daughter's visit, but she didn't make it here in time. Guess I'll have to reorder soon! March 29, 2013
Memories Growing up in the 1950's... treats were far and in between. Chocolate Dipped Jelly Sticks were one of my favorites. I preferred the orange flavor while my sister liked raspberry. I bought these as a Christmas present and they brought back fond memories. Thank you Johnny Sauter December 31, 2012
You'll always come back for more I have always ordered this candy for MOM each Christmas and she looks forward to them each year, and sharing is not an option, you have to ask,she wants them all to herself, and you don't argue with a 98 year young mom, she's boss.I have to order my own.. What Our Customers Are Saying about Our Chocolate Jelly Sticks (Set of Two 10.5 oz. Boxes) …

"During the heyday of the beginning of NASA in the Clear Lake Area outside of Houston, Texas, there was a favorite pizza place called Vernon's Pizza. They had this type of orange "jellies" covered with chocolate on the counter for their customers. They were so yummy! Vernon's closed and we have been hunting for that distinct taste ever since . . . and we found it at the Vermont Country Store. Thank you so much for having this available." - Mary Fosdick, Seabrook, TX
