French Lavender Eau De Cologne
Always get compliments!
I've been using this product for years now, and I always receive compliments. I use a small funnel and put it in a spray bottle, which makes it easier to distribute evenly over my body. I also sometimes use Vermont C. Store's Yardley lavender talcum powder. Anyway, I spray my clothing w/ this cologne also. It's a very gentle scent and makes a good base if you want to add other hints and notes to it. Sometimes I add a drop of sandalwood oil (Onto my skin. NOt into the bottle of lavender!) or a touch of geranium, which brings out the lavendar, or even a hint of vanilla. All these notes complement the lavender. When I do that and people say, "WHERE did you GET that lovely scent?", I can honestly say I concocted it myself from several basic scents. But I always start with this lavender. Most of the time I wear it by itself, but it's a great base for adding a little creativity if you want with essential oils. I highly recommend that you get the Yardley talc for hot days. Spray your sheets with the cologne. Spray your clothes. Everything will stay fresh like it just came out of the laundry. This is one of my "must have" products. At first I was unsure about a liquid. But layering it with some fine powder I have and am now receiving compliments from family. I have about half the bottle left as I use it every day. Yes, it might shock some, but what I love I wear daily. By next month, I might need more. I sure hope do. Be careful when removing the top as being all liquid, it will spill, but hopefully mostly on you. :oD

Haven't smelt it yet, but it IS lavender and it is from France. Will be a Christmas gift for a very hard to buy for person. Hoping it will be as big a hit with her as it's presentation was to me. Came in a velvet bag!!! Impressive!

I am not impressed by the scent from this French Lavendar Eau de Cologne. It does not have the calming effect I have have experienced from other lavendar scents I have used. I think the best use I can get for it is adding a splash to the rinse water of my bed and bath linens. Sorry my revue is not better.

I love this lavender cologne. I use it in aromatherapy, specifically I spray my sheets and pillow cases with it. Sometimes I put a bit in my rinse water when washing sheets, towels, or bedclothes. It is wonderfully relaxing to the senses. Trudy

Fresh and beautiful
I feel beautiful when I wear this cologne. It IS more of a splash though, as opposed to a true perfume or cologne. It can be worn all over the body and not smell overpowering. I find I use this right before bedtime on my arms and decolletage and the lavender calms and lulls me to sleep. It's like stepping into a field of lavender.

Strong fragrence but no staying power.
I am supremely disappointed in this product. It is more like a splash than a cologne. I can 'slpash' it on me after a shower using fragrance-free soap and in an hour, even if I sniff my skin, I cannot smell it nor can anyone else I have asked.

My Mother Had Good Taste
My mother always told me to stay with the things that always look good, feel good, smell good, and/or taste good. Buy one or two trendy pieces of clothing, but put most of your clothing allowance in tailored items that never go out of style, always look good, and are always comfortable. And as for fragrances, stay with scents that I like that stay on the market year after year. By staying with items and brands that are always in style, reflect good craftsmanship, and are always in good taste, one can build up a large collection of clothing, cosmetics, and fragrances that will last a lifetime and with which I will always be satisfied. Thank you, Vermont Country Store, for carrying those types of items. I love the Lantz sleepwear, the old fashioned apothecary items that are hard to find, and the fragrances that have remained popular since I was in high school. We won't bother with how long ago that was. Since I am diabetic, I am also looking forward to trying some of your sugar-free candies. I love Vermont Country Store, and will remain a loyal customer for (hopefully) many more years.
