Rated 4 out of 5Â by Bari Been looking for leather scuffs for several years
All the major brand retail stores don't sell leather slippers or scuffs anymore in my region. They sell cloth style shoes. I was happy to find these men leather scuffs at Vermont Country Store in their catalog. I've worn leather scuffs for over 30 years and didn't want to buy the cloth style scuffs.
The widths do run narrow. I bought the wide width scuffs and they were a bit tight. I know they will widen the longer I ware them. I was thinking about buying the narrow width ones until I read an online blog about them. Also, I wish that the sole was leather instead of suede. I think the leather would hold up better than suede. Other than that, the scuffs are quality made and were priced reasonably.

Rated 5 out of 5Â by Dee from PA Second Time Buying These Slippers
My husband's first pair finally 'almost' wore out, after many years' wear. We bought the same pair again, counting on the same comfort and craftsmanship. He loves these scuffs. :) Wide width availability helps with the fit. His foot is wide with a high instep and these fit fine. The leather molds and feels good on his feet.

I ordered 10 wide but when my husband tried them on, it was not wide enough. perhaps the chinese wide is not like our American wide. I have to send them back.

Fit was a little off, could be me, but all in all just a little different from what I was looking for.

The scuffs are very soft and comfortable. They are true to size and yes, they are wide enough.

Rated 5 out of 5Â by Tony Suburban Philly The Classic Men's Slipper
I am 68 years old. These are the type of slippers all the men in my family wore. My grandfather, my father, uncles etc. This is the most comfortable slipper to be found. It's the one the movie stars wore in all the films of the thirties and forties. It's all leather. It breathes. No sweaty feet. No cold feet. Easy to slide into or slide off. No, you don't wear these to go get the mail. Indoor use only. With pajamas, robe and brandy snifter, along with a nice pipe, and your wife in her feminine nightgown and robe, and you'll know what being a gentleman is all about. Very hard to find. But VCS had them.

I agree with Maribel, these are narrow. I had to exchange them for the wide width. And I've never worn wide in anything from Chuck Taylor's to cowboy boots.
Other than that they are great looking and feeling slippers.
