Some people knew them as Garibaldis, others simply as raisin biscuits, but whatever you called these long, flat cookie bars, they surely have been missed since they disappeared from supermarket shelves. Crisp in texture, each not-too-sweet biscuit has a hefty helping of dried currants baked right in, which adds that familiar fruity tartness to every bite. And since a single biscuit measures about 7¼"x 2¾", it's perforated so you can divide it into five easy-to-eat sections. Garibaldi biscuits are the perfect complement to tea, coffee, or ice-cold milk. Each 3.5 oz. package contains 2 long Garibaldi biscuits.

  • A hefty helping of dried currants is baked right in
  • Each package contains 2 biscuits
  • Each biscuit can be broken into 5 easy-to-eat sections
  • Set of 5 packages

Rated 3 out of 5 by Finally found raisin biscuit cookies. We couldn't wait to bite into this old time favorite. They were however, very hard not like the soft biscuits of long ago. We were willing to pay the price asked expecting to get that treat of long ago, but alas and alack it was not to be. Probably, not definitely, we will not buy them again. February 2, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Still good after all these yrs I think I must have had Garibaldi Biscuits when I was quite young. My sister sent me two packs say 4 months ago; they were very familiar and I enjoyed them. I ordered my own supply recently and mailed one of the packs to my sister for Xmas. Really enjoy these. Thanks for your great service. February 1, 2016
Rated 4 out of 5 by A little different than the version we had as kids My wife and I both remember flat raisin cookies from our distant childhood, so we were excited to find these in the catalog. These were a little different than we remember - the originals had sort of an egg wash on top that made them shiny, and the cookie part was a little sturdier. Of course, our memory has been idealized from 50 years ago, so who knows what the reality was! Worth a try if you had them as a kid, or if you never did but want to try something unusual and historic! February 1, 2016
Rated 1 out of 5 by Stale crackers I was very disappointed with the Garibaldi Biscuits. They were stale and had no flavor. February 1, 2016
Rated 1 out of 5 by terrible treats I ordered the Garabaldi biscuits as a special nostalgic treat. My brother and I owned the same car and always took them to be serviced, together. It was a ritual to buy a package of the same type biscuit as the Garabaldi, and eat them while waiting for our cars to be finished. Unfortunately, my nostalgia was crashed as I ate one biscuit. It was dry, tasteless and had less that half the raisins of the original bar. My other purchase from you was more that delightful and I will buy that item again. The Garabaldis, however, were a total disappointment and had to be returned. January 25, 2016
Rated 4 out of 5 by Annual Christmas gift for Dad I have purchased these for my Dad for Christmas for 10+ years, he loves them. I actually visited the VT Country store a few years ago and enjoyed walking through the store seeing so many of the products I've seen in the catalog and online for years. My ONLY complaint, I wish you would take time to analyze your customer's shopping behavior and offer coupons/promotions based on their shopping. I don't but during the year, I ONLY buy during Christmas yet ONLY receive a coupon or discount AFTER I've made my annual purchase January 11, 2016
Rated 4 out of 5 by My husband's childhood memory Purchased for my husband as he remembers having them when he was a young man. I actually like them. January 10, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Nostalgia in a biscuit I loved these biscuits as a kid and love them even more as an adult. Not too sweet or heavy. Perfect with a cup of tea. I bought 5 packages and intend to keep them all to myself. January 10, 2016
