Woven into each Mountain Weave tablecloth is a rich history of self-reliance and ingenuity that harkens back to the homespun fabrics hand-loomed in the mountains of Vermont 150 years ago. Only instead of using whatever material happened to be on hand like our forebears, they’re made from the finest USA-grown cotton woven on state-of-the-art looms by master weavers here in New England. The soft, sturdy fabric is then sent to our neighbors down the road in Dorset, Vermont where each tablecloth is individually cut and fringed by hand. The result is an attractive yet durable table covering that’s reversible so you can simply flip it over to hide those unsightly spills. For best results, machine wash cold and stretch the tablecloth while it’s line drying. Expect up to 10% shrinkage due to the 100% cotton weave; if the table linens are machine dried, you can expect increased shrinkage. USA.

beautiful material Needed a tablecloth for a special corner of a kitchen. This tablecloth is so lovely that it made the corner inviting and added a cozy feel to the area. Looking forward to lots of time spent eating breakfast at the table and watching the birds from the window. February 15, 2015
Color trouble I ordered this tablecloth in yellow, thinking that the beautiful butter yellow color shown would work perfectly in my kitchen. Much to my disappointment, the yellow tablecloth that came through was YELLOW! Much more a bright lemon yellow than what was pictured. Very sad this did not work out. January 28, 2015
Good with reservations I have 3 of these tablecloths--2 oval 62x90 and one oblong 62x108. They wear beautifully. Reverse them and you get a different effect. They wash up softer and softer every time you wash them. Now the reservations. They shrink--which is noted on the info page-because they are cotton. I rated them 4 because of the shrinkage. If you can hang them up to dry after washing you can stretch them back somewhat. If you dryer dry them, DEFINITELY order the next size. I have a 42x60 oval table with 2 additional 12 inch leaves. The 62x90 fits the 60 inch, with 1 leaf 72 inches-barely. I ordered my last one the oblong 62x108 and I can use that on my table with either 1 or two leaves either 72 inches or 84 inches with the shrinkage. January 17, 2015
Mountain Weave Tableclothes make the dining tablet elegant, yet warm and inviting. I have always wanted a Mountain weave tablecloth and decided to treat myself to the holiday green this Christmas. Our holiday table was festive and bright. Plus, the tablecloth was so easy to wash after my little grandsons smeared food all over it. I plan to purchase one Mountain weave tablecloth every year until I have every color. Thank you very much for another outstanding product from the Vermont Country Store. January 12, 2015
Great Seasonal Tableclothe This was a terrific purchase decision. Works well for winter and especially a great Christmas cloth. January 8, 2015
Shrinkage of Mountain Weave Cotton Tablecloths I inherited several of these tablecloths from my mother several years ago. I like them because they are easy to launder, require no ironing and are thick enough to absorb sound from clinking tableware, glasses and silverware. However, when I ordered a new tablecloth a month ago, I noticed washing instructions that require cool water washing and line drying. I did wash my new 52x72 inch tablecloth in cool water and dried it on "airfluff" in my dryer. It still shrank to 44x67 inches, and no longer covered my table. I would suggest you order a size 20 percent larger than you need. But a better solution would be for the Vermont Country Store to have these tablecloths made from preshrunk thread. How many people have space to line dry a large tablecloth inside in the winter? January 3, 2015
This is a Keeper! I purchased this table cloth in a different color over six years ago, and after washing it many times it still looks very good. I also like the fact that it is made in the U.S. I was aware of the shrinkage factor before ordering, and made the proper allowance. The weave gets tighter after washing and now it is just perfect. BEST tablecloths ever! I love these tablecloths, they last and last and never fade. They don't need ironing and look great. My daughter has a black table that got scratched and the black and stone tablecloth was the perfect answer. I have 4 of these and love them all. December 20, 2014

What Our Customers Are Saying about Our Traditional Mountain Weave Pure Cotton Tablecloths …

"My husband and I have only been married for 7 years today, but I "inherited" a whole house full of stuff when we got married. There was a whole box full of these tablecloths, and most had been used only a few times, but many had seen a number of years of use, some up to 20 and were still serviceable. I saved the red and green one for Christmas, and the blue one for everyday, and the rest I shared with family...they are still in great shape!" - cathi cogle, Seymour, TN

"I have been ordering Mountain Weave tablecloths and napkins for about 30 years. Even the oldest ones are still in good shape. Our family uses them every day, as well as for company meals. Whenever we changed decor or table size, we just ordered more. They all come in handy in our new house, where we have room to set up several tables at one time for parties. They can't be beat for easy care, cozy appearance, and durability." - Shannon Chamberlin, Little Rock, AR

"These are my favorite tablecloths. A friend from New England introduced me to them years ago. The best thing about them is no ironing is required! And they come in a host of wonderful colors. They are great for everyday use and also for company. I love the feel of the cotton; it's so much better than the polyester table linens everyone else sells." - Kathleen Panek, Springfield, PA

"I inherited several of these wonderful tablecloths from my mother, and I know a few are over 30 years old. The best part is that I have colors that are no longer offered! Now that I have a new adjustable table, I'm so glad I can order some new for myself, in colors my mother couldn't get!" - Wendy Saunders, Oyster Bay, NY

”The woven table cloth is beautiful and easy care! It can be dried on the air setting without shrinkage and removed promptly with no need for ironing. My family and friends have commented on how nice it looks. I plan on purchasing it another color.” - Karol-Ann Rogers, Feeding Hills, MA
