Memories of Grandma's house! I was so happy to see the aluminum tumblers in your catalog. My children were discussing memories of Grandma's house. She recently passed away, and they had many fun memories of staying at her house. They said "remember those aluminum glasses? We always fought over who got the blue one! I wish we could find some. She served rootbeer floats in them and they got so cold!" I thought that would be a good surprise, extra, Christmas gift for them. Well, I ordered the wrong number & was shocked to receive the small tumblers. Customer service was very kind in helping me to get the correct ones! Thank You September 6, 2013
Just like Gram's We ordered these glasses because the plastic "glasses" are joining the glass ones and breaking. I remembered the aluminum glasses my Grandmother had in her cupboard, they survived all of her grandkids, so started a search for same. I found them in my favorite shopping site, Vermont Country Store. We were worried that they weren't big enough, but when we poured the beverage from one of the remaining large plastic glasses into our new aluminum ones, no liquid flowed over the edge. Looks are deceptive. Love drinking my cold beverages out of these glasses, the drink feels and drinks cold! Gram really did know best! August 14, 2013
nice glasses i thought these would be just like the glasses my Grandmother used to have! They are very close, but a little bit lighter weight! However, they are really nice!! Want a really cold drink!!! Order these!! You will love them!! July 14, 2013
I was dissapointed I purchased the old fashioned jewel-toned aluminum tumblers (primary colors) recently because it brought back childhood memories. I remembered how cold it kept the drinks. After use, I always washed them by hand (never in the dishwasher) and I noticed they started to discolor. July 12, 2013
Love the nostalgia of the tumblers. Keeps my drinks frosty cold. I remember them from my childhood. My husband even loves them and he is not generally impressed with (drink) glassware. June 30, 2013
Keeps drinks cold..but Love how they keep drinks cold but the color has started to wear of the outside on 2 of them (I only hand wash) June 26, 2013
THE BEST,CANT BE BEAT!! OH YEA.....THE BEST! We grew up with them, our neighbors had them, relatives & more! So so glad Im seeing them again. Besides no breaking, it kept drinks colder longer...of course if you kept drink in sun, it would make ice melt faster & drink warmer faster but still got to enjoy chilled drink better than glass or plastic, but sorry I HATE PLASTIC! THANK YOU FOR BRING BACK!! June 6, 2013
Remember these from the 50's My grandmother had these at the cottage. Everything stays very cold and they are unbreakable so my grandchildren won't break them. Just wash by hand. Love them May 8, 2013
