electric air dryer, great for water spills in car I spilt a bottle of water on the car's carpet, so it was soaking wet. I placed the unit on top of two bricks on the carpet and whoosh the carpet was dry the next morning ..... even with high humidity. So no mold will form, yipee!!!!!!! as promised The unit is easy to operate, just plug it in and leave it alone. No water or hoses to worry about. Works very quietly to the point I had to check if it was on. Seems to be doing it's job reducing humidity. I'm using it in our basement in an area that is larger than it was listed as being able to work in, so any reduction in humidity is most likely less than in a confined 8' x 10' room, but I am still happy. It's still better for me than a standard noisy dehumiderfier unit that you need to drain water from. September 3, 2012
