My Second Very Best Wool Dust Mop I purchased my first Vermont Country Store Very Best Wool Dust Mop some years ago and loved it. Since that time I moved next door to my daughter Kristie Baer and somehow or other it became hers, go figure! It was not always available to me since I "gave it to her", I figured the best thing for me to do was to purchase a new one for me. It's everything I remembered of my mothers mop We recently remodled a bedroom and had our 118 yr old Dougles Fir Floors sanded. It is the first time they have been sanded and we simply polyed them. There beautiful. I needed something I could use quickly, daily. When I saw this mop I remembered using the same one when I was a kid helping my mother clean our home. This is just an OK product. I chose this dust mop because first, it had a solid wooden handle and second, the mop is removable and washable. The handle is a little rough, but easily smoothed with a light sanding. What is most disappointing is that, although it has a solid wooden handle an metal frame, the connector for the head is plastic. It won't stay tight when screwed in and has already started to loosen in the threads. Also, it doesn't swivel in all directions which is a minor inconvenience. I really do like the solid wooden handle and will use it. It's overpriced for what it is. It works OK, about like any other product designed to sweep a floor. March 24, 2013
Sent to Mother-In-Law I purchased this mop when we moved in our new home 4 years ago. That was the first time I had hard wood floors to take care of. I love this mop and use it all the time. My Mother-In-Law was looking for a new dust mop and couldn't find any thing at the local stores that she would consider purchasing so I told her I would sent her one of these mops.
