Rated 4 out of 5Â by Godiva Larger than I thought
I use flour sack towels to applique motifs on and give as gifts. I'd never purchased them before from Vermont Country, and thought I'd give them a try. I ordered the regular size and was pleasantly surprised at how big they were! Thank God I didn't order the larger size or I would be decorating bath towels!

Since I know these towels are 100% cotton, I assume that they are coated with something that prevents them from absorbing water which is really annoying in the kitchen. I hope to be able to strip them of their coating.

Floursack towels are the best for drying dishes and cleaning up around the kitchen. I never use anything else. They are also great when washing windows!

Based on the write-up on your website, these "towels" appeared to be a good buy. But the result was very disappointing. In our opinion, the towels are NOT very absorbent; they are very thin, with a flimsy feel when using; and they are too large to handle conveniently. They are nothing but large, crudely made squares of cotton that are not even attractive to have around! Maybe we can find some use for them, but . . .

Rated 5 out of 5Â by Clare Best anywhere & two sizes!
I originally bought these to use as dishtowels because they are so absorbent. Then my sister-in-law used them as napkins at a picnic and my husband couldn't stop talking about them, so I got him some. He carries one in the car with him constantly and uses it for everything. I think they would be great in a diaper bag or a lunch bag or almost anywhere. Once they are stained, they are great rags for around the house, too. I bought some elsewhere but they were nowhere near the quality of these -- not as soft or as absorbent and they didn't hold up as well. The small ones are big and the big ones are really big. Now my sister-in-law is wrapping gifts in them and tying them with twine or grosgrain ribbon. The feedback she gets is that people appreciate the wrapping as much as the gift.

I love my Flour Sack towels, and can't find them readily. It seems I look everywhere for them so I just searched the Internet and found the Vermont Country Store.
I haven't used Jubilee Kitchen Wax for years and was so glad to find that, too!

Fantaststic Towels Just like grandmother used to dry dishes and to wrape wounds when one of us was cut or hurt. I still use them for wrapping wounds in my home nursing care.

What Our Customers Are Saying about Our Floursack Towels …
"My last order was perfect. I've been using both lavender and Grandmas soaps and love the way my skin feels. The neoprene socks were confiscated by my husband so I'm ordering another pair of ankle length for me. Also, I don't know how I missed the four sack towels the first time. I've been looking for them for years." - Paula Krhla, Waterbury, CT
"Once you use a flour sack to dry dishes, wash glass, dust or just about anything you will NEVER go back to those nasty terry cloth towels. Introduced to me by my mother-in-law (God bless her) I am now a true believer in flour sack cloths. A true family treasure. Give it a go - you won't be disappointed. Thank you for selling them. My old source went out of business last year." - Laurie, Westport Island, ME
