digital and wireless phones are not always dependable. i recently purchased a plain black desk phone, a pink princess phone and a slimline phone from vermont country store via mail order. i am quite happy with them-they work very well and i have no batteries that need replacing or recharging all the time. i do miss the caller i.d. function but that is the only bad thing about these phones. at least they work and i can actually hear a phone conversation now and understand what is being said to me. i have made other purchases in the past and as always, shipments arrive in timely manner and in good shape. i have never been disappointed with the customer service-it is excellent..
