I like it just as a tape player I bought one, not intending to use it to convert tapes to a digital format, but because it has a built in speaker and I don't have to wear headphones. I have a lot of books on tape and, for me, it works ok for that purpose. I have not tried it with music. It has served me well for what I want to use it for and I am buying another one as a back-up because you cannot find cassette players like this anywhere else. November 1, 2014
cassette converter Does not work on Mac 27 inch, that has the latest OS 10.8.4 . It does make a good player, so I am keeping to carry around with me. It would be a good idea to have your program up to date with PCs and MACs July 24, 2013
Complicated I purchased this with the hopes of converting all of my cassettes but...... it is just too complicated for me. My rating has nothing to do with the quality of the product, it is just too many steps for me. I had hoped that it would be simpler to use. ;o( June 13, 2013
tape quality poor The connection to the computer seems to work, and the software is readily available if the disc doesn't (as one reviewer said). The basic problem is the cassette player itself -- wow and flutter during playback. I didn't expect much for the price, but I don't think its results will be listenable. March 6, 2013
Disappointed again in technology To Whom It May Concern: I ordered the above product with hopes and expectations that it would be a fairly simple device compared to another product I purchased several years ago. As it turns out the software disk which I installed was out of date and I was directed to their website to download a compatible version. I followed directions and spent several hours trying to find a fix to a problem with its functionality, an integral part of the programming. Finally, in exasperation, I opened up another program on my computer and tried recording through the usb cable included with the cassette player. This seems to work although I have not spent enough time with it to make sure. December 24, 2012
