Setup: 1.) Plug the power cord into the back of the answering machine and then into the wall socket. Turn power on. 2.) Plug the phone cable in to the TEL.LINE jack on the back of the answering machine and the other end into the phone. If your phone doesn't have a second jack a line splitter may be necessary.
