Best Stain Remover Ever My mother used Fels-Naptha regularly as long as I can remember. So of course I now do too, but not just because of Mom. I use it because IT REALLY WORKS! Here's a partial list of stains it has removed: yellow mustard, grease, salad dressing, coffee, blueberry, grape, cranberry, ink, blood, mayonnaise. In other words - the really tough ones. It's even removed stains that have already been washed & dried at least once before! You will never regret trying Fels-Naptha. PS - it's very long-lasting as long as you're careful to drain and air it after use [don't let it stay wet]. July 20, 2013
Hard to find I am so glad I thought to look here for this soap!I do not know of any place that carries it. It is multi purpose. I needed it because my husband had gotten into poison sumac. This soap REALLY helps! July 2, 2013
Remember the old days with my mom I have only used the soap once, but I remember my mom using it, as we didn't have a washing machine in our house. Thanks for the memories!!! March 14, 2013
Glad Fels-Naptha is still being made!! This soap brings back many warm childhood memories!! Fels-Naptha soap was always in our home. My dad always kept it handy for everything. He rubbed it on my poison ivy (which I always was getting into), used it to wash his greasy hard working mechanic hands and Mom used it for really greasy clothes stains. Great old-fashioned soap with many modern uses even today. Glad to have found it at The Vermont Country Store!! February 6, 2013
I never thought I'd find fells naptha I am in my 60's,from the time I was a small child I watched my mother and grandmother use Fells Naptha soap. I used it myself always reaching for it for those hard stains (grass) sauce, etc.. It had taken a few years looking for it .Every laundry day I would be reaching & mumbling at the loss of a great product. I found it in a magazine Vermont country store and have ordered it 8 bars at a time. Thank You Vermont Country Store ! November 27, 2012
Finally!! My mom and grandmother always kept a bar of Fels Naptha in the laundry area, and it was used for everything from ink stains to hair dye remover to grease spots-be-gone. It is good to find it again and continue the wonderful cleaning properties with my grandkids! November 15, 2012
This stuff works. Buy it. I bought this when I saw it advertised in a Vermont Country Store email a while back. It sounded too good to be true, but since it was so inexpensive, I thought I'd give it a try. This has gotten both blood and tomato stains out of clothing. It will even - occassionally - get out stains that are set in from previous washings. Plus, it lasts for a very long time. I've just barely used 10% of the first bar. This is probably the most effective, cost-efficient way to get stains out of clothes. November 6, 2012

"I find that Fels-Naptha Soap is also good for just about any skin irritant that causes hives. It dries up the red bumps and stops the itching. No home should be without this wonder bar. Thank you for continuing to carry it. I get my supply each summer." - Dolores Bland, Bowie, MD

"When my babies were just old enough to walk around the yard, and after a few bad incidences with poison ivy and the long-lasting results of fire ants and chiggers, I needed to find some kind of relief for them. At last, in desperation, I tried Fels-Naptha. If bathed soon after contact with poison ivy, with Fels-Naptha, poison ivy was no longer a problem. My son was the only boy at Boy Scout Camp bathing each night in the cold lake water, but he decided it was a small price to pay to avoid poison ivy. Chiggers were not nearly so bad if the evening bath washed away the tiny critters in time, not to leave such a long-lasting, severe itching. The fire ants still stung if they came in contact with them, but by now my son and daughter had come to expect relief just because the Fels-Naptha was in the soap dish. And Fels-Naptha was more gentle to the skin than many of the other advertised baby soaps with perfume and other additives. Now we still look for the Fels-Naptha soap, and Vermont Country Store is our only known source. My family expects to come home and find it here. After a visit, the Fels-Naptha soap leaves with them!" - Lora Trimble, Dallas, TX
