Pilgrims and Turkey Candle Set
Quaint vintage Thanksgiving candles!
I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw these candles in the catalog! I bought a set for myself & my brother. They bring back such great memories! Year after year my Mom would put these very candles out on our dining room table lazy susan. They were for decoration only - never lit. I still have the original turkey and pilgrim man, and now I display them every year on our table. The new set sat right along with the old one for the first time this year! Their detail is very close to the originals! Thank you for finding these treasures! Holly Cejka

Could have been so cute....
Unfortunately, FuzzyJ was right in their review of the paintjob on the faces. There's a light brown splotch of paint in the middle of the faces (it also slopped over onto the left side of the hat on my girl pilgrim) but there's so much white left on the edges of the face that it ends up giving the poor little pilgrims the appearance of a lightly toasted marshmallow. It's a real shame because the clothes on them are very nicely painted. On the upside, the turkey is very pretty. I had gotten the Halloween set several years ago and they were really cute, but I was lucky enough to pick them out in person. I was going to order the Christmas set but, without being able to see them in person, I think I'm going to pass.

Good Memories That Didn't Pan Out!
I loved these little guys when my grandmother had them when I was a kid, so it was a real memory rush to see them in the catalog! Sadly, the quality just isn't there...the paint jobs are terrible, with almost no paint on the faces and none whatsoever on the hair. Very disappointing! (The only thing that's saving this from being a one star review is the turkey, which is actually nicer than the other two pieces!)

These replica vintage holiday candles are the BEST
I remember these very same turkeys from the 1950s and early 1960s sitting on my grandma's dining room table. Such great memories!
