Plaid Seersucker Cotton Bedspread
My husband hates heavy bedding even in the winter and this is the only place where I have found a light weight bedspread. Not only that, I have had this bedspread for years - maybe 20. It has faded a little but it gets washed about once a month. I just ordered another one to make sure I will always have one. I've had it for several months now but I'm saving it in case something happens to the one I have. My first one was a queen size for my queen bed. It did shrink a little but it still covered the bed; it just didn't go all the way to the floor. This time I ordered a king and I'm going to wash it several times and then hem it. In the winter I use it with a light weight electric blanket.

Great Choice for Summer
We've been searching for a lightweight bedspread for the hot weather in Dallas and finally found it in the Plaid Seersucker Cotton Bedspread. The pattern is very nice, evenly woven, all the edges seamed well and the weight of the fabric is perfect. After reading other reviews, we picked a kingsize spread for our queen size bed. It was about 4" too long, so we machine washed and dried and now it just reaches the floor on both sides of the bed - Perfect!

Beautiful weight, easy to launder
I was surprised to hear that someone had trouble with shrinkage. I got this in a beautiful yellow color, it is the perfect weight and laundered beautifully with no shrinking. Definitely recommend for a summer bedspread.

I washed and dried according to directions on tag and
it shrunk 6-8 inches in length and width. Does not fit
my king size bed now.

I live in a hot climate and needed a light weight blanket. I'm also super picky so only wanted natural fibers. Knowing that cotton shrinks, I purchased the king sized bedspread for my king sized, thick modern mattress hoping that it WOULD shrink so it would work as a comforter length with the bed skirt showing.
It worked perfectly. So if you want a bedspread, order up a size and do not put it in the dryer. If you want your bed skirt to show, order your regular size and wash and dry it.

Cool and very pretty.
I love seersucker. I wear it at home all the time. So it just seemed natural to get a seersucker spread. It's very nice, and in the summer a single blanket with this would be perfect.

Cool on hot FL nights
I love this bedspread! Used it for first time last night and first good night sleep, temperature wise, in a long time. I love 68 to 70 degree sleeping but keep thermostat at about 77 to 78 to decrease cost and still hot even with ceiling fan and floor fan--not with this bedspread--it was awesome. Very cool and very light. Sorry I waited through so many hot summers!

Comfy, easy to launder
I love this bedspread. I bought the twin size in blue. It looks crisp all summer yet is comfy and soft right out of the dryer. Launders beautifully, no ironing needed. It is the perfect weight for summer in Florida in the air conditioning. My cats spend a lot of time on this spread and it has held up beautifully under their constant companionable napping.
It is pretty, soft, easy care, and very strong fabric. A real winner. It would be GREAT for a kid's bed because it is so strong yet soft and comfortable. The colors are clear and bright too, without being gender specific.
