"The first year our parents were married -- 1947 -- our mother purchased their first caroler candle in Woolworth's for 2 cents and continued to purchase carolers at least two a year until Woolworth's closed. In 1949 our mom purchased the large male caroler and her first girl caroler. Since our parents passed away, we four sisters share the collection. Whoever is hosting Christmas gets to display the collection.
