Wildflower Percale Sheet Set
Quality, Comfort and Beauty
I bought these hoping the reasons that others loved them would be true.
Quality 100% cool and crisp cotton. The weight of the material is great. They are soft and keep you comfortable all night. The fitted sheet with full elastic fits my 13" mattress perfectly.
I am so pleased with these sheets that I have ordered them in the cream.

Shrinking Sheets and Weak Elastic
My husband bought these sheets for our king-sized bed last year. I do like the feel of these sheets--the fabric is cool, crisp and comfortable. The sheets do wrinkle when washed, as others have mentioned, but this really isn't something that I've found bothersome. What I have really been bothered by is the shrinkage and the weak elastic on the fitted sheet.
My mattress is 13 inches thick and is a standard king. Out of the package, the fitted sheet fit my bed well. The flat sheet seemed a bit long (there was a lot of extra fabric to tuck under the bottom of the mattress) and a tad bit narrow (did not come over the edges of my mattress as much as I'd expected). My husband and I both noticed that the hem at the top of the flat sheet was pretty narrow.
After washing the sheets a few times in cold water and either hanging them to dry in a cool place (inside my house or in the shade, on a clothesline under my trellis) or drying them in a cool dryer, they shrank a LOT.
There is now barely enough length left in the flat sheet to tuck under the bottom of the mattress. The fitted sheet will now, barely, go over the corners of my 13 inch-thick mattress and the corners pop off daily because the elastic is not strong enough to hold the fitted sheet in place. The fitted sheet is also no longer wide enough and, even when I first make the bed and get the corners of the fitted sheet completely on my bed, the bottom edges of my mattress still show everywhere else (everywhere except the corners). The description of these sheets says that the king-sized ones will fit mattresses up to 16 inches deep, but I just don't see how that could be possible, when, after a few washings, they no longer fit my 13" deep mattress adequately (and the corners of the fitted sheet pop off daily).
Overall, while I do love the feel of these sheets, I really cannot recommend them to most other people due to the shrinking issue and the weak elastic on the fitted sheet. I guess I might recommend them to someone with a thinner mattress--I think they would still fit my mattress well if it were 10 inches deep or less.

Cool Night Sleep
Love these sheets. I have learned through much research that you get the best nights sleep on hot summer nights (or when you get hot easily), is to have all cotton sheets that are 300 or less thread count.
These sheets filled all the requirements. Some things about them: I have a 13" mattress. These sheets have elastic all around the outside edge. They fit "snugly" around the whole mattress. If I had a 15" mattress, the sheet would come about 3/4 the way down the side. Another thing: When I first opened the package, the sheets were smooth & silky. I washed & dried them in a dryer & they came out quite wrinkled. I washed them again (using fabric softener) & hung them on the line. They were still wrinkled. Wrinkles don't bother me & I found after a few nights on the bed, the wrinkles seemed to go away. They are very sturdy sheets & I seem to feel a lot cooler when sleeping on them.

not quite there
I have been searching for the old-fashioned percale sheets that my mother used to buy for a very long time. The feel of these sheets out of the package was absolutely perfect. I washed as instructed, (warm/cold, tumble dry low). Yes, they were quite wrinkled, which I can live with. What disappointed me the most was that the crisp, cool feeling that they had out of the package was gone after they were laundered. They are not rough but they do not feel smooth and crisp to me, either. Clearly, others are very pleased with these sheets. My skin tends to be on the heightened end of the tactile scale so, perhaps, that is why my experience is different. I hope they soften over time. (Will happily do business with VCS again, sheets shipped and arrived in less than one week.)

Search for crisp sheets is over!!
Ok...so I don't do a lot of reviews but I do read them! I have been searching for YEARS for high quality, affordable crisp percale sheets, and stumbled here on my internet search. After reading reviews I decided to give them a try. These are beautiful, soft and crisp...no roughness after washing that is so common with others I have tried. Of course 100% cotton will wrinkle, but I find if I get them promptly from the dryer and fold this isn't a problem, and once on the bed they are perfect. Just ordered the Lily of the Valley set and expect to love those too...just superb quality!

Love these sheets!
I just ordered another set of these sheets. I need them for a twin sized daybed and I was afraid the pockets weren't deep enough, so I ordered one set to try them out. They fit wonderfully! Even after washing and drying, the pockets are plenty deep and do not move at all! And the sheets themselves are so pretty! Love them!

I love these sheets! It is very difficult to find percale sheets made in Portugal that are reasonably priced, so I was excited to find these. I was a bit hesitant to order the ivory color because it looked a little "beige-y" to me, but I didn't want the blue. I ordered the ivory color and was pleasantly surprised to find it a lovely cream color. The sheets are on my bed at this very moment. Very happy with them!

Good sheets, beautiful print
I've used the sheets twice now, washed them three times.
They are well sized, giving good coverage of the mattress with the top sheet, but the bottom sheet will not accomodate the (too)fat 13-14" mattress in my guest room. (The mattress is supposed to be a 12", but it "fluffs" to 14" at its midsection.) I can use the set on another bed, so I'm fine with that.
I would prefer a larger top hem on the flat sheet. I don't suppose it makes any real difference in the wear of the sheet, but it feels a bit skimpy.
The fabric is pleasing: the print is beautiful, the sheets feel quite smooth and crisp. They do wrinkle, as one expects from 100% cotton, if dried to "doneness". I hand smooth the hem of the top sheet, but find I like to run an iron quickly over the pillowcase hem, especially if I don't pull it from the dryer in time.
There was one small stitching glitch. The top hem of the flat sheet had been cut correctly, but stitched on the bias. I ripped the seam back about 5 inches and restitched it flat. Not really a "biggie", but I could have used the time for something more fun! Other than that, the sewing was well done.
