"Why don’t sheets feel crisp and cool the way they used to?" you asked. In response, we had our sheet makers weave 100% Egyptian cotton into 250-thread-count percale sheets just like the old-fashioned ones that smelled of fresh air. We’ve dubbed them our Clothesline Crisp sheets, but we expect you will throw them in the dryer, just be sure to remove them promptly for best results. Imported.

Crisp sheets, none better! These sheets truly live up to their name. If you've ever had the pleasure of sleeping on 100% cotton sheets that have been line dried in the sun, then you will appreciate the cool crispness of these wonderful percale sheets...a weave that's becoming hard to find. You can get sateen sheets any old place, you can spend big bucks for zillion thread-count sheets, but neither will compare to these simple, lovely, cool, crisp sheets. Sadly Disappointed I have ordered these sheets for many years and wish VCS would go back to the terrific sheets these used to be. The good old sheets were cool, crisp and lovely to sleep in. The newer sheets I ordered are scratchy, wrinkle horribly and are not the same. The top sheet is so short that it can't be tucked in at the bottom of a regular king mattress. Please, VCS, bring back the good old sheets we loved so much. I will not order these again. February 21, 2013
LET ME GIVE YOU THE HISTORY... I have bought these sheets since they were first offered and LOVED the Original ones, BUT they have changed, and myself and several other friends have complained to VCS and they REFUSE to require their manufacturer to change back. The Original sheets were FINE and when washed and dried and put back on the bed, they were cool, and smooth like Grandma's old ones. The last 2 sets I have bought...and returned... were HEAVY, STIFF, and SCRATCHY. PLEASE VCS...call your manufacturer!!! One thing...I send my sheets to the laundry where they have a HOT HEAD PRESS and they come back divine! Problem with the new ones is they STILL come back heavy and scratchy. SO...5 Stars for the old ones...no Stars for the ones in the last few years. February 16, 2013
Just what my husband ordered My husband was hoping to find cool sheets like the ones he slept on as a child. I knew where I might find them and did. They were just what he wanted. Yes, they are cool, and yes, they do wrinkle, but smooth out when slept on. I have ordered a second set. Our only complaint is that the top sheet is a bit short for tucking under the mattress. We would also like to be able to purchase spare pillowcases. February 2, 2013
Stitching came out after several washings These sheet don't live up to the hype. You have to line dry these things because drying then in a dryer renders them so wrinkled, they are unuseable. They're OK if you line dry them. More importanly, the stitching started coming out after several months of use. I have sheets from my mother from the '70s that have gone through hundreds of washings with all of the stitching still intact. Why can't VCS come up with quality like that? These sheets are a disappointment. I'm done with VCS. January 27, 2013
Not what I expected These sheets are very thin - no body - so even on the clothesline they are never crisp. Also the elastic is terrible. I had to add elastic at the corners and still they work their way off the mattress within minutes. Elastic completely gone after only a few washings. January 4, 2013
BEST SHEETS - EVER! I had looked at these sheets for several years, wanting to buy them. However, the reviews were mixed and I didn't know what to think? These sheets are absolutely as advertised; crisp and as close to grandma's vintage sheets as you will ever get. When I read that people were ironing them or weren't happy because they wrinkle, yes, they wrinkle - but I don't iron and would never iron. I pull them out of the dryer right away put them on the bed and am quite happy. No, it's not perfection but they are fantastic, crisp, cool and well made and with each washing they get a little softer. I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THEM! They are, absolutely, as advertised! These really are like the sheets that I slept between as a child. They remind of of sheets that were dried on the line outside and run through a "mangle iron" by my mom so they wouldn't have any wrinkles. When possible, I still hang my sheets outside to dry, but I don't believe that I have ever ironed a sheet since I was a kid helping my mom. November 30, 2012
