Only Australia’s finest Merino wool is chosen for this machine-washable blanket, woven by a mill known for using only the finest natural fibers. The wool is not bleached in processing, so it retains the silkiness and breathability of the natural fibers and does not itch folks sensitive to other types of wool. Larger than standard blankets, it’s long enough to pull up under your chin on cold nights and fits larger-size mattresses. Finished with mitered polyester satin binding on all sides. Machine wash, line dry. Imported.

HArd to Find Blankets Out here on the west coast blankets appear to have gone the way of the dodo bird. All you can find are duvets or comforters. Vermont Country Store to the rescue! Your Merino blanket is wonderful and there is an additional benefit. When my wife was a child, the satin binding was an important comforter for her; she called it "bonnet." Like a paper blanket This blanket is advertised as both heavweight and velvety-soft. It is almost completely weightless and not in any manner soft. It is like sleeping with a scratchy piece of paper over you. A tremendous disappointment and waste of big bucks. January 5, 2013
