i lived in the orient many years ago and loved the lightness and the warmth of a silk filled comforter. The covering has now been updated and is quite nice even if you use a duvet. Thanks for the memories!

Absolutely wonderful!!
I have trouble sleeping and have had a difficult time finding a blanket that is warm, lite weight, and soft to the touch, and it doesn't keep sliding off the bed during the night. The silk-filled blanket is just wonderful!! I would recomend it to everyone. Lanee

The perfect comforter
I had been using a down alternative which I suspect was filled with polyester, although cotton covered. All night long I'd be in and out of the sheets & comforter because I was too warm. The all cotton covered, silk-filled comforter from VCS is wonderful. Not heavy and not hot. I paired it with the Lily of the Valley 100% cotton sheets, I wear only a 100% cotton gown and now sleep like a baby. The comforter, however, needs to be dry cleaned so I suggest purchasing a 100% cotton duvet.

Best Purchase I have ever made!
I can't begin to tell everyone how great this comforter is. I have neurophy in my feet & can't stand any weight on them. But this comforter is so light it doesn't bother me at all. Also its great on cold nights & wonderful on warm nights. I sleep only with a sheet & this wonderful comforter year around. I have been searching for years for one like it & then out of the blue I received a catalog from Vermont Country Store. I ordered it & received it in record time. I highly recommend this item to everyone!

Excellent Product. Buy it.
In 2006 my wife and I were on a trip to China and purchased a wonderful silk comforter at a silk factory outside of Beijing. We love it but it is starting to show age from daily use. I have been on a quest to replace it without spending thousands of dollars to go back to Beijing. I have purchased two other silk comforters and have taken them back because they either had a chemical smell or were as thin as tissue and gave no warmth. This comforter is PERFECT and almost as close as the one we purchased in Beijing. It is also 1/3 the price of the comforters I purchased here, in the U.S.

Silky smooth, warm and nice size
I love this comforter/blanket. It is not thick like the fluffy comforters but it is very warm and comfortable I prefer the way it looks on the bed-clean, smooth and modern.
