bedspread Nice for summer use. A little pricey for this and much thinner than expected. Needs to be at least 8" wider to accommodate a king bed with enough overhang to look nice on both sides. Color was okay but not a true country blue as I'd hoped for. April 19, 2013
Not What I Expected This spread was not what I expected at all and unfortunately I had to return it. I purchased the king size for a queen size bed and it was still too short in length. Width was perfect. The purpose of the spread for me was to be neat and tidy and easy care. It was none of these things as it wrinkled terribly. Sorry. March 28, 2013
Exactly what I was looking for! I was looking for the kind of rib cord bedspread I used on my childrens' beds years ago. This one is not quite as heavy but perfect for the grandchildrens' bed in our spare bedroom. The color #navy# is perfect, it easily covered the underlying bedding and I paired it with the solid dust ruffle which helped to "lighten" up the solid color, it looks great. It is sized as stated and a bit lighter in weight than the old bedspreads I remember, but much easier to handle so I assume will wash and dry faster. I am looking forward to ordering more of the fun items in the Vermont Country Store catalog! March 15, 2013
I have been looking a long time. As stated above I have been looking a long time for this type of bedspread. I remember them from years ago and they are very hard to find. I am disappointed that it does not go to the floor sideways. It is extra long lenghwise. February 6, 2013
Just right for what I needed I was looking for a light weight, durable, easy to wash and dry "cover" for my bed. We raise and live with several four legged family members who are allowed on our furniture and sleep with us. This will be used to cover the nicer, heavier, sturdy but hard to wash bedspreads/quilts to protect them from slightly damp paws and wonderful Georgia red clay. I can pull it off the bed, wash and dry it quickly and be ready to do it again. I had these when my children were small and they were perfect for many of the same reasons. Very glad I found them at Vermont Country Store--hadn't found them elsewhere at such reasonable prices. January 21, 2013
Not totally disappointed This was a lot thinner material than I expected. I'm hoping it will hold up to several washings. It did not bring back memories, as we never had this light weight type before. January 1, 2013
Bedspread Be Gone! I returned the item (still waiting for credit to my c.c. account) because the material is too thin for a bedspread, more like a throw. Too bad -- it fit my bed, and my needs, and I've been looking for a new navy cotton bedspread since acquiring a new, thicker mattress. (I do believe I'd read in another review that it was thin, but decided to order anyway because other reviews were favorable.) December 29, 2012
