The Hunt is Over For about 10 years I have been looking for a masculine bedspread. Sadly, what is on the market is comforters and they are usually flower patterns.... I live in Arizona, and even if I didn't, I don't need a comforter, especially a flowered one during the summer - so, it is a great relief to finally have this masculine bedspread in the Burgundy color. It fits the bed properly with the overhang reaching the floor on all three sides and ample fabric left for the pillow roll. A great find! August 23, 2013
attracts and holds onto every bit of cat hair possible ! beautiful color and works well as a bed spread but it holds onto every bit of cat hair and since we have two who like to hang out on beds it was not the right selection for us! August 26, 2013
Bedspread I finally found a thin COTTON bedspread. They are hard to find. All I ever see are comforters or quilts. I live in Florida and just need something light for summer. I love it!! August 25, 2013
From My Childhood My aunt used ribcord spreads when I was a child, and I loved to stay with her. In those days air conditioning was unheard of, but there was an ample supply of heat throughout the night. These spreads are light and comfortable, and a perfect weight for those of us who absolutely must sleep covered. They used to come in lovely colors and have deeper ribs. This dark green color is acceptable (since my eyes are closed at night anyway) and seems larger than its size category. I'm VERY pleased with this purchase! August 25, 2013
Rib cord bedspread not "classic". I've had 2 classic rib cord bedspreads that I used for 25 to 30 years before passing them on to my children to use in their homes. The rib cord material was dense with visible cording. The one I purchased from The Vermont Country Store is large enough for a queen size bed, but it looks like I've placed a king size sheet on my bed. No raised cording on low quality fabric was what I received for $69. Definitely not like the classic rib cord bedspreads. I doubt this spread will last as long as the others I've had. August 24, 2013
Great Price, Great Quality It is almost impossible to find a bedspread in Florida. The stores in northeast Florida are full of heavy quilts and comforters, which we Floridians need only occasionally. I figure that our store buyers all live in Minnesota! This rib cord bedspread is the perfect weight for our climate. I now own two, a red one and a navy blue one. I will probably replace the older, red one some time this year - and I'll buy that replacement from Vermont Country Store! Thanks for a great product :) August 24, 2013
Nice summer-weight spread I wanted a spread that would be lighter weight than our winter comforter, but would still look neat on our bed. August 23, 2013
Bring back the old! This is a replacement for the same I got from you guys years ago and LOVED. I miss the old color (dusty rose) and the texture (really ribbed). I'm busy (hot) washing and (drier) drying the new one, hoping it will shrink and fade. I'm learning to live without the ribbed. August 23, 2013
