Rated 4 out of 5 by Would get again This was a gift for out of town friends, but I made an unexpected trip to their area and was able to try a piece. It was slightly crumbly but had a good depth of flavor. Would definitely purchase again! January 11, 2016
Rated 3 out of 5 by Fruit cake by another name. The Vermont Harvest cake arrived in great shape and was very good. The problem that I found was in the size of the cake relative to the price. Even though I thought I checked out the sizes and prices, I was still surprised at the size. It would have been difficult to deliver reasonable size servings to the number of guests as indicated in the advertising for the cake. January 10, 2016
Rated 1 out of 5 by Falls apart Cake had good flavor. No matter what knife I used the cake fell apart. Had to dip it out of the container with a spoon. It just would not hold together. Gave up on eating it. I will stick with fruit cake. December 15, 2015
Rated 1 out of 5 by not very good Since I am a huge fruitcake fan, I bought this as a present to myself. It was pretty bad. Dry and crumbly, mostly raisins, poor tasting. Very hard to get past the dry texture, impossible to cut into pieces, ended up eating crumbs. Thru it away. November 22, 2015
Rated 4 out of 5 by HARVEST CAKE I BOUGHT THIS CAKE FOR MY HUSBAND WHO ADORES FRUITCAKE. HE FELT IT DID NOT LIVE UP TO HIS EXPECTATIONS AS IT DID NOT HAVE THE TYPICAL DRIED FRUITS IN IT LIKE PINEAPPLE AND CHERRIES AND VIRTUALLY NO FLAVOR OF LIQUOR WHICH IS ALSO TYPICAL OF THE ORIGINAL FRUITCAKES OF THE PAST. NONETHELESS, IT GOT EATEN BUT I DONT THINK I WOULD ORDER THIS ONE AGAIN. November 11, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Wonderf The cake is moist and really full of fruit and nuts. It disappeared very quickly, even the crumbs. I should have ordered two or three. November 2, 2015
Rated 1 out of 5 by Not Good! This was a crumbling mess and many clumps of that first slice ended up on the floor. It was so bad that I put the rest out for the critters. October 18, 2015
Rated 2 out of 5 by Nation wide drought hits Harvest Cake Harvest Cake may have maple Syrup etc in it but we could not detect it-finally microwaved the slices and topped with vanilla ice cream -disappointing-our Austin cousins whom we gifted with one dumped remnants of an old bourbon bottle over theirs and said it was imlroved. Also disappointed in Mnce meat pies-bland-not enough filling-againthe vanilla ice cream treatment-husband says I am too picky-not so-I expect VCS to be perfect! October 7, 2015

What Our Customers Are Saying about Our Vermont Harvest Cake …

"I hate to say this, as it's like revealing to the world a favourite secluded spot, but this has to be one of the best fruitcakes I have ever tasted. It is exceptionally moist, superbly flavorful -- with real, not candied, fruit and nuts. I hope they've made a lot of these, so that I can purchase some more as gifts for family and friends for Thanksgiving and Christmas. Anyone who's ever turned up their nose at a fruitcake won't have a clue at what they are missing if they don't try one of these Vermont Harvest cakes. I guarantee you'll break out into a huge "om om good" smile when you take your first bite. Scrumptious!" - Gene, Woodbine, MD
