Manhattan Claim Chowder Not having had Manhattan Clam Chowder for more years than I care to remember, this chowder was just as I remember it while growing up in New York State. I thought it was very good. It's not readily available in Alaska. March 24, 2014
Not worth the money. According to the catalog this soup is to be diluted with water, but on the label it only says heat and serve. This makes sense, since it is already so thin. I was very disappointed. It's not worth the money and I will not order it again. November 19, 2013
very good-But? For the high price there was very little amount of clams. October 28, 2013
Have to watch my sodium intake and this helps I have liked Manhattan Clam Chowder since childhood. I am on a low-sodium diet and have not been able to enjoy Manhattan Clam Chowder for years. However, the Salt Your Own Manhattan Clam Chowder is within my diet and, for the first time in years, I was able to enjoy a bowl of Manhattan Clam Chowder. Even with the low sodium, it was one of the best servings of Clam Chowder I have ever tasted. I recommend it to all those on low or restricted sodium diets. June 6, 2013
First time I am able to order no salt soup I have been very happy with the many items that I have ordered from Vermont Country store. Most of the time I do not have to pay shipping. Always very satisfied. May 6, 2013
Love this soup !!!! I have tried both the New England and Manhattan Clam Chowder and pleased with both. True this is not a thick soup. But when has Manhattan Clam Chowder been thick? It does not have to be thick to be a chowder. It is true to its name. I found it to have enough clams and just the right tomato taste. I have always been pleased with the soups from Vermont Country Store. Plus, you get to add you own salt or not at all. This soup tastes like you made it and not out of a can. January 9, 2013
This "soup" isn't a true chowder. not enough clams and way too thin for a chowder. A soup maybe a chowder no. January 6, 2013
