"As a senior in high school, the FHA sponsor took a group of girls to Mercer University in Macon, GA for a club covention. Our sponsor provided lunch from the trunk of her car. No doubt, a number of tasty sandwiches were included, but the one thing I remember was the Brown Bread with cream cheese spread. I had never had this treat before, and one taste was all it took to let me know that I'd stumbled upon the love of my life! I don't think anyone else got any because I stood there and ate them all. The sponsor came by and saw that her plate of brown bread was empty and said, "My, my, someone must like my brown bread and cream cheese!" I said not a word, but my heart (or my taste buds) would never be the same again. I've been unable to find it in the stores anymore and few even seem to remember it now.
