Garibaldi Biscuits (Set of 5 Pkgs.)

If You're Longing For Those Forgotten Raisin Biscuits, Then You'll Love These Garibaldi Biscuit Bars

Some people knew them as Garibaldis, others simply as raisin biscuits, but whatever you called these long, flat cookie bars, they surely have been missed since they disappeared from supermarket shelves. Crisp in texture, each not-too-sweet biscuit has a hefty helping of dried currants baked right in, which adds that familiar fruity tartness to every bite. And since a single biscuit measures about 7¼"x 2¾", it's perforated so you can divide it into five easy-to-eat sections. Garibaldi biscuits are the perfect complement to tea, coffee, or ice-cold milk. Each 3.5 oz. package contains 2 long Garibaldi biscuits.

  • A hefty helping of dried currants is baked right in
  • Each package contains 2 biscuits
  • Each biscuit can be broken into 5 easy-to-eat sections
  • Set of 5 packages

Find old-fashioned treats that are still as tasty and wholesome as always at The Vermont Country Store. Garibaldi Biscuits are a perfect complement to tea, coffee, or ice-cold milk.

Oh so good! I am thrilled to be able to get these raisin biscuits once again. Thank you Vermont Country Store for providing so many wonderful, hard-to-find products from the past! May 13, 2013
Friend gains 3 pounds Sent to two friends who remembers these from thier NYC days. Both loved them. One wrote, "loved them, ate them all, darn it." May 7, 2013
Just like the Raisin Biscuits I remembered as a Kid These were exactly what I expected when I ordered them. They are a little expensive but where else can you find these delicious biscuits. They taste just like what I remember when I was a kid growing up. I will buy them again - great for snacking after lunch to get thru the rest of the work day. Thanks for making them available. Like a kid again! A package of a similar version of these cookies (we called them "raisin crackers") was always in our bread drawer when I was a little kid in the 60's, but the national supermarket brand must have stopped making them years ago! I was excited to see these in the Vt Country Store catalog and hoped they would taste the same and yep, they do! Nice and crispy too, not too sweet, and now that I'm at an age where I watch my fat and calories, they are my non-guilty pleasure! I bought 6 packs for myself and 6 for my mother at Christmas, and just bought more for "our" recent birthdays. Will likely be restocking for Mothers' Day right around the corner! April 22, 2013
Takes me back to my youth !! these biscuits are just like I remember them in my earlier days. Thanks to the Orton family for finding them. April 17, 2013
Take a trip "back in time!! I can't tell you how many times my "significant other" and I have asked each other "Remember those raisin cookies we used to have as a child, I sure wish they still made them." We did not grow up in the same area, but both of us remembered these as a kid, and my Dad would rather have these than chocolate cake! So, on Valentine's Day I bought several packages for him (and yes, there were plenty for me, too) and now when we say remember when we had these, I can say "Yes, it was an hour ago!" The Missing Biscuits I loved Garibaldi Biscuits for many years as a young man. Then they dissapeared. My wife ordered a product from a Vermont Country Store catalog that my mother had. While looking through the cataloge, I came across the missing biscuits that I had not tasted for many years. Have been ordering them for about 4 years now. February 27, 2013
Better than a cookie! I am not a cookie person, too sweet and fatty tasting. My mom got me hooked on Sunshine Raisin Biscuits when we were kids so when Sunshine stopped making them I was bummed. When I found the Garibaldi's at Vermont County Store I was so happy to again have what I always crave when I want a cookie. They are so yummy! February 19, 2013
