Open a box of our crisp, juicy McIntosh and Cortland apples, and if the aroma alone doesn’t convince you that they're picked at the peak of ripeness, the first bite will. Our friends in Northern Vermont harvest their orchards not once, but three times to ensure only the apples that are completely ripe are picked. Then the apples are stored in special refrigerated rooms so that they taste as fresh and crisp as if you had picked them yourself. Each apple is brushed and polished—never waxed—so it looks glossy and delicious. Eat or use in sauces and pies. 7 lb. box.

  • Picked orchard-fresh in Northern Vermont
  • Available in McIntosh and Cortland
  • For eating or baking
  • Polished, not waxed

You haven’t tasted a McIntosh or Cortland until you’ve bitten into one of our orchard-fresh apples grown in Vermont.

American McIntosh! My husband is a McIntosh snob and even though out here in the northwest we can buy McIntosh apples from Canada they simply won't do--they cannot compete with the crispness and flavor of these apples from Vermont. It is a once-a-year treat and worth every penny! December 30, 2013
Real New England Cortlands My mother lives in southern Maine. There's a farm stand on the way to her home. I always stop there to pick up a bag of just picked Cortland apples. This year I went a month early and the Cortlands were not ready yet. I was very disappointed. So I was thrilled when I saw the Vermont Country Store had Cortlands for delivery. The box just arrived today and the apples are round, red, and beautiful. They are as crunchy and juicy as I remember from Maine. Thank you Vermont Country Store. November 13, 2013
DELICIOUS! OMG! The first bite brought me back to "sitting in my uncle's apple orchard". The apples are crunchy, juicy and so delicious. I will definitely be ordering more! Thank you Orton family! Teresa November 13, 2013
Not genuine I don't believe for one minute that those apples were genuine Cortlands. I am a native of Wisconsin, where they also grow them. So I have had real Cortlands by personal purchase and by online order, so I know what they taste like. Yours tasted like any miscellaneous apple I could have picked up from the supermarket here in Montana, where Cortlands are not heard of. No more orders from you. November 11, 2013

What Our Customers Are Saying about Our Vermont Apples …

"I received my order of McIntosh apples a few days ago, and they were everything I had hoped they would be: beautiful shape and coloring, delicious scent, crisp, and wonderfully tart and juicy. Just like the Macs I remember from New York! We haven't been able to get McIntosh apples here for years, so thank you, Vermont Country Store, for offering these wonderful apples. You've made my day . . . and I can't wait to make my mom's apple crisp with these beauties!" - Mary, Bellevue, NE
