Woven into each Mountain Weave tablecloth is a rich history of self-reliance and ingenuity that harkens back to the homespun fabrics hand-loomed in the mountains of Vermont 150 years ago. Only instead of using whatever material happened to be on hand like our forebears, they’re made from the finest USA-grown cotton woven on state-of-the-art looms by master weavers here in New England.

The soft, sturdy fabric is then sent to our neighbors down the road in Dorset, Vermont where each tablecloth is individually cut and fringed by hand. The result is an attractive yet durable table covering that’s reversible so you can simply flip it over to hide those unsightly spills and extend time between washings.

For best results, machine wash cold and stretch the tablecloth while it’s line drying. Washing tightens the weave and softens the fabric for a thicker and more cushiony look and feel. Expect up to 10% shrinkage due to the 100% cotton weave; if the table linens are machine dried, you can expect increased shrinkage. Made in the USA.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Excellent quality! This is the second tablecloth and napkin set we have purchased. They look beautiful on our dining and picnic tables alike. October 4, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Order a size or two larger These tablecloths WILL shrink, there is no "maybe" about that cause it's 100% cotton right off the looms. My table is 36" X 60" So I Upped the cloth size to 62" X 90 " Here's how much shrinkage I got : I threw it in the washer and then in the dryer, just like I would any other table linen. THAT is NOT the recommended care, but that's how I roll. Special handling or Line drying isn't gonna happen here. It came out of the dryer at 54" X 73" and fits wonderfully. They get soft and thick after washing. Just LOVE these cloths. October 3, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Had mine for more than 20 years I ordered this cloth in the natural and white pattern, back when there was only one pattern, and fewer colors. I've used it regularly for the past 20+ years. The comment that it gets softer and tighter weave with washing is accurate, but shrinkage is very minimal if anything. I have matching napkins too. Love this cloth! September 30, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Heirloom Quality I am now the proud owner of 5 of these tablecloths the oldest being 5 years. I too, have one for each season of the year and several I rotate. Shrinkage should be expected with anything that is 100% - I highly recommend these tablecloths- they make excellent gifts. August 18, 2015
Rated 3 out of 5 by Light fastness I was really happy to find these tablecloths. They are locally made; come in an array of colors and sizes; and seem to be high quality. However, there was one little problem that I encountered: light fastness. After three days of direct sunlight, my hunter green tablecloth paled. And wherever I had left objects, like citronella candles and a vase, those of course stayed the original color. I carefully washed the cloth, hoping that it was just as weak to water as it was to light, and it simply stayed the same. I don't know what to do. A simple decoration project has turned into a headache. August 7, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Best Tablecloths Around These tablecloths are the very best around. I use them everyday and they hold up and clean like a dream. I have been using them for over 35 years and still have my first one. July 8, 2015
Rated 4 out of 5 by Beautiful ! I purchased this in the butternut color which really stands out in my dining room. The rug and walls are both burgundy and i wanted something simple to make the table stand out. And that it does so it's worth every penny ! Although the quality is a little lacking (as a lot of reviewers stated) which is why i gave it 4 stars. If it were made as thick as the older ones it'd be perfect. But i love the simple pattern and its warm ambiance...thank you Vermont Country Store. July 3, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by These wear like iron. I bought this as a Father's Day gift for my Dad. He has 2 of these he's had forever, but they're finally really starting to show some age and wear. He just loves these tablecloths, and especially the red. He was really surprised and happy to receive a new one. He loves the weave of these and the weight of the material. Would definitely buy again. July 1, 2015

What Our Customers Are Saying about Our Original Mountain Weave All-Cotton Tablecloths …

"My husband and I have only been married for 7 years today, but I "inherited" a whole house full of stuff when we got married. There was a whole box full of these tablecloths, and most had been used only a few times, but many had seen a number of years of use, some up to 20 and were still serviceable. I saved the red and green one for Christmas, and the blue one for everyday, and the rest I shared with family...they are still in great shape!" - cathi cogle, Seymour, TN

"I have been ordering Mountain Weave tablecloths and napkins for about 30 years. Even the oldest ones are still in good shape. Our family uses them every day, as well as for company meals. Whenever we changed decor or table size, we just ordered more. They all come in handy in our new house, where we have room to set up several tables at one time for parties. They can't be beat for easy care, cozy appearance, and durability." - Shannon Chamberlin, Little Rock, AR

"These are my favorite tablecloths. A friend from New England introduced me to them years ago. The best thing about them is no ironing is required! And they come in a host of wonderful colors. They are great for everyday use and also for company. I love the feel of the cotton; it's so much better than the polyester table linens everyone else sells." - Kathleen Panek, Springfield, PA

"I inherited several of these wonderful tablecloths from my mother, and I know a few are over 30 years old. The best part is that I have colors that are no longer offered! Now that I have a new adjustable table, I'm so glad I can order some new for myself, in colors my mother couldn't get!" - Wendy Saunders, Oyster Bay, NY

”The woven table cloth is beautiful and easy care! It can be dried on the air setting without shrinkage and removed promptly with no need for ironing. My family and friends have commented on how nice it looks. I plan on purchasing it another color.” - Karol-Ann Rogers, Feeding Hills, MA
