Bought 1, then 2, then 3 Ironically, I like the product for the same reason other reviewers are criticizing it; it isn't sweet. By itself it is bitter; whole milk gives it just enough sweetness to be delicious. I have never tasted anything like it, but it makes ordinary hot chocolate mixes seem over-sweetened and over-processed. I bought one to try; then bought two more; I'm about to buy three more to last out the winter, and I've sent one to a relative. January 14, 2015
Better for eating than drinking Melting-and-stirring is a fun ritual, but these don't actually have much flavor in milk. Better just to eat them as oddly-shaped truffles. January 7, 2015
Heavenly Hot Chocolate I bought the Heaven in a Cup chocolates that make hot chocolate for my sister. She is often hard to buy for because she buys everything she wants for herself. She had heard of these English/Irish treats, but never tried them. She easily prepared a cup on Christmas Day and I achieved success in finding a great gift for her. December 26, 2014
Beautiful but a dud My grandson wanted to eat the drop because it looked great but I told him it was for chocolate milk. We then proceeded to heat the milk in a pan and then dropped the chocolate in and began to stir. Not only did the milk hardly change color ,when we tasted it , we could hardly taste any chocolate. Chocolate Delight! This was the creamiest hot chocolate and so comforting on a cold winters day. The first time I made of cup of Butlers Irish Hot Chocolate, I sat and did nothing but savor every delicious sip as I watched the snow coming down. I really enjoy dunking toast in my hot chocolate - a favorite childhood breakfast! March 21, 2014
Perfect hot chocolate I bought this as a gift for a cocoa loving friend. I have found that using a chocolate to melt into a beverage is wonderful. These are tasty, easy to use and let's face it - just fun!! March 20, 2014
Heaven in a Cup My family visited Ireland a year ago so this Christmas Morning we chose to make a traditional breakfast. We chose this version because it truly tastes like warm milk chocolate. Perfect way to start a day. January 4, 2014
Short cut hot chocolate Thought these Hot Chocolate drops were a great idea. When I prepared some for myself, they were weak, didn't even make an average cup size and had very little flavor. They could probably be used as a "starter" preparation, with lots of help from other ingredients in one's cupboard. Bought quite a few for small Christmas gifts but have no feedback from anyone.
