Rated 2 out of 5 by from Stale product I have ordered numerous times. When I received my last order the candy was stale. Not sure I will be ordering anything again. I ordered French Creams and Merrimints and both were very stale.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Scary flavors I should take the blame for my disappointment with this candy. I didn't quite get the description that each piece would be so strong in flavor. The peppermint, spearmint, and "whatever" that was, were awful. The flavors were SO strong, I felt they were derived from pine tree bark. I really think I was expecting the flavors from my childhood, orange, soft mint, vanilla, and strawberry. I guess I stopped reading the description at French candy creams. Never again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Candy "Ornaments" on Nanny's Xmas Tree My Nanny would decorate the branches of a little plastic Christmas tree with these tangy melty cremes. She'd let my little brother and me have 2 or 3 for the car ride home after our holiday visit. Heaven. That was about 65 yrs ago. I have been looking for these cremes for years....decades. When yours arrived at my house two weeks ago, tears came to my eyes. As I bit into a lemon creme, I was immediately transported back to the warmth and loving atmosphere of Nanny's place....oh so long ago. Thank you.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A long overdue treat!!! I am 66 years old and have never tasted a French Cream candy before. When I was a little girl I use to play at the neighbor's house. Every year at Christmas time their mother would put these enchantingly beautiful candies in a covered crystal bowl and display them on their dining room table. I thought that they were the prettiest little candies that I had ever seen! I was taught that it was not polite to ask for things at other people's houses, so I never did.....except for one time. Those French Creams fascinated me to no end and I could not resist asking the mother if I could please have one of those candies. I was so embarrassed and hurt with her response..." I don't think so". We never had candy in a candy bowl at home because my parents could not afford it. I knew that and never asked for my mom to buy that candy. Those French Creams fascinated me so much that I pretended that I had them for my dolls when I would play house. I grew up and the memory of them eventually disappeared because I never saw them again....until your catalogue!!! I put The French Creams on my "Bucket List" and finally crossed it off about 2 weeks ago when my order came from THE VERMONT COUNTRY STORE. See me smiling??? They are everything that I imagined them to be after all these years!! If a little child ever asks you for a piece of candy, please share one with them and remember my story. Thanks.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Memories When I was a kid, you could find these in any dime store candy counter. They were my Mother's favorite. As they became harder and harder to find, I began looking all over for them as I always tried to find some to send to my Mom. She lived to be six months short of one hundred, and the last few years, I just couldn't find them anymore. I was delighted to find them in your catalog. They are delicious and certainly better than the dime store ones. Thanks for an old memory.
