When I was a kid, you could find these in any dime store candy counter. They were my Mother's favorite. As they became harder and harder to find, I began looking all over for them as I always tried to find some to send to my Mom. She lived to be six months short of one hundred, and the last few years, I just couldn't find them anymore. I was delighted to find them in your catalog. They are delicious and certainly better than the dime store ones. Thanks for an old memory.

When we first received your catalog, I didn't know that I would be walking down memory lane. Especially when I saw and read about the french creams candy. Surely they couldn't be the same as in my childhood. I am 60 now. Just before a holiday, my grandmother would receive a delivery of candies and small toys. I most liked the french creams for their creamy texture, light sugar, and real tasting flavors.
When my box arrived, memories of holidays coming flooding back - THE BIG LONG TABLE filled w/ grandparents, aunts & uncles, sister, parents, cousins. Enjoying our new toys and the real reason behind the holiday. And then, the candies. The french creams of today taste exactly like they did then. Thank you for the memories you make.

Rated 4 out of 5Â by Candy! Exactly as I remember them
I was in search of the French Creams for years. I found another candy company in Pennsylvania who made something similar. I asked if they would make the French Creams with all the same flavors I remembered. They said they could not but gave me the name of the Vermont Country Store and I found what I was looking for! They are a bit pricey and for that reason I only bought one box - but this is a good thing because I would eat the entire box in one sitting if they cost any less. Thank you for keeping these on the market!

I had purchased the "Christmas Assortment" of these French Candy Creams.....and loved them. After the holidays I ordered the pastel assortment thinking they would be just as good. Wrong! They tasted as though the confectioner had run out of 'flavorings' ! They were terribly sweet (to my taste buds) and not nearly enough MINT taste. Sadly, I found the Old Time favorite of
"Merri Mints" to be similar in their lack of true mint flavors. Again, maybe it's just my taste buds that are faulty.

Rated 5 out of 5Â by Martha B. My 95 year old mother LOVED these creams.
My mother loves the "old fashioned" candies from
your catalog. I am sure they are a reminder from
her early days. At 95 years of age there are not
many items like this that still agree with her. But
she simply LOVED these candies. THANK YOU for
making them available.

A couple of months ago, I accidentally ordered your "Holiday" French Creams. I called and asked if I could exchange them for the "Fruit" French Creams that I have ordered many times before and that I have only found at your store. After I was told I could exchange them, I remembered that I had already opened the box, so I told them never mind since it was my ordering error. But the young man I spoke with told me to wait and put his supervisor on the phone. After asking me a couple of questions, she said that she would send a replacement order free of charge! I was so pleased! It's been many years since I've had such wonderful customer service. You may rest assured that I will always remain a loyal customer. Thank-you!
