The baker mixes everything by hand, using only the best, all-natural ingredients, including apricots, cashews, dates, raisins, walnuts, Vermont honey, and flour. Each cake is baked, and then drenched with brandy and orange liqueur. Absolutely no dyes or preservatives. 17.6 oz. loaf.

  • All-natural ingredients, including apricots, cashews, dates, raisins, walnuts, and Vermont honey
  • Dense, moist, and utterly delicious

You've Got It Nailed I have been looking for a fruitcake without preservatives and food coloring forever. Finally found it at the Vermont Country Store and couldn't be happier with it. Simply delicious and moist, with a taste of the liquor. Love it. Am ordering my second one of the season....If you were going to make any modifications at all, I would love to see one that uses low fat or no fat milk instead of cream, to get cholesterol count lower...Thank you for the delicious treat. Bad Rap for fruit cake. I've never understood why fruit cake has such a bad rap. I really love it and it reminds me of when I was a child, This one had a very good flavor and a good mixture of fruits and nuts, Good job in baking it, it was wonderful. I also found it to be moist. March 17, 2014
Well it looked really moist Im sorry to say I didn't notice when I ordered the fruit cake! That it had brandy & orange liquor in it. I had bought it for my mother-in-law! She wouldn't touch it because of those ingredients! I don't & my husband doesn't eat fruit cake! So I sent it to a friend in Louisiana! I have not heard from her yet! It smelt really good!!! :) March 6, 2014
will order again This fruitcake is full of flavor. It did not last long with my family. March 5, 2014
Delicious and Flavorful I'm usually not a fruitcake fan, but I love raisins, and this is full of them. It's moist and very tasty. This cake doesn't have the standard candied style fruit. It's more between a coffee cake and fruitcake. I took a chance on purchasing this cake, and glad I did. Everyone in the family enjoyed it. March 3, 2014
Great Classic Fruitcake Wow, filled with plenty of fruits and nuts. Spices were terrific. Great item for folks longing for high quality fruitcakes of yesterday's traditions. Go for it! You won't be disappointed. February 25, 2014
What a wonderful surprise! I have a friend whose husband hasn't been well for quite some time. He recently reminisced about his mother always having "fruitcake" for the holidays. Unbeknownst to him, I ordered yours and had it sent to him. He's been smiling for days and cutting the pieces smaller and smaller to make it last! February 11, 2014
YUMMY I have been looking for a recipe just like this, but the cost of making one, especially this tasty, has been difficult. Now I can enjoy the flavor and textures I remember from my very early years spent with family members. February 10, 2014
