For some of us, the holidays aren't complete without Christmas ribbon candy. Ours is made by a company with more than 90 years of experience, who still hand cut their ribbon candy for a confection as beautiful as it is tasty. The ruby red ribbon with green stripes is cinnamon flavor; the emerald green with red stripes is clove. Each 12 oz. box contains 4 long, continuous ribbons (2 of each flavor).

Ribbons of Memories. As a girl growing up in Vermont, I remember every Christmas the Ribbon Candy would magically appear in all of the households of my family. I asked my mother once how they made the rib bon stay like that. She always encouraged her girls to create and use their imaginations. So when she created a story of how they were made, I never second guessed it. She said they were made by hanging a sheet of candy in the winter wind. As the wind blow back and forth it wouldform the ribbons. And every ribbon was unique, because each had it's own Christmas Spirit blown into them. And that is why they are so fragile and break easily. Now I am all grown up with a daughter of my own. I make sure I order them or have family order them for me. Unfortunately, it is hard to find Ribbon Candy in Arizona. So every Christmas I carry on the Christmas tradition with my daughter and tell her the very story. She is 9 years old and loves it. She even tells her friends. This is why I love this product. However, I do find myself ordering ALOT from Vermont, since I can't find much out here. Thank you so much! November 9, 2012

My Childhood Memories Yester-year and Today of Ribbon Candy When I was a little girl the holidays were my Mothers favorite time of year. She had alot of Vermont Country items in her possession while I grew up and Christmas time was so magical to me back then watching her decorate with the elfs in Vermonts catalog, tinsel and oh yes the ribbon candy we all loved. My Mother was a simple, loving, giving, poor Mother raising 10 children alone with very little money coming in abandoned by their Father, hated by their Step-Father who withheld money toward food and bills if Mother defended us against him. As gifts at holiday time my Mother made new items out of used recycled childrens clothes from my older siblings and yet they were new and special to each of us who recieved her loving hard worked items. We never had much of anything but we had ribbon candy every holiday while I grew up. I write my story with tears in my eyes as my Mother passed 6 yrs. ago on October 31. I miss her terribly still and the way the Holidays seemed so magical due to her loving affection of the Season and all the old fashioned candy and items that she put in our home. I still see in the Vermont Company Catalog Mothers and my favorite ribbon candy. Each time I veiw your catalog it brings back warm hearted memories to me and though I haven't purchased any of your items in a long, long time and cannot afford to do so due to my finances with early onset Parkinsons I still love to look at the pictures of those yester-year items with sentiment, warmth and joy in my heart. I remember Vermonts ribbon candy having the best flavor next to any other kind.
