Old-Fashioned Puff Candy (Set of Three 5 oz. Bags)
Happy days are here again!
When I was young, I would buy this Old Fashioned Puff Candy at least once a week. It was my favorite thing! I'd been trying to find out for years if it still existed. Finally, I came across your site and purchased the candy. It was just as wonderful as I remembered. I gave some to my sister and brother and they were so surprised. Turns out it was their favorite too! Keep making it! We love it!

We used to call this sponge candy, it is sooo good and tastes very much like the candy I enjoyed in the 70's. Trust me it is worth a try, it has a molasses taste. I have a recipe for this candy but it is such a bother to make purchasing it is so much easier.

Childhood Sweet Memories
As a young child, our family often had sponge candy for a treat. As a retired grandmother, I have reconnected with this favorite from my childhood. It is as good as I remembered.
Thank you for the Sweet Memories!

Best candy around
I wait until Christmas time every year to order this candy. It is the same recipe we purchased as children from the local candy maker in Detroit. Every year they would have a big mountain of this candy in their window and when you came in to buy it, they would cut it off and bag it for you. For years I looked every where for this and was so glad to see it. I purchased it right of way and was very disappointed when it was no longer available.

This was our first order of Old-fashioned Puff Candy. It is wonderful! Similar to the candy part of an old fashioned, buttery, brown sugar peanut brittle, only lighter and tastier. Everyone in our family, regardless of age, loved this candy. It will be added to our list of Christmas traditions for candies.

I used to get this as a child at the Sportsmans Show at the International Ampitheatre in Chicago.

Since I was a child living in Montreal (well over 60 years ago), I've carried sweet memories of one of my favorite candies. Known then as "sponge toffee," I've searched a number of retro candy sites over the years and was excited to discover in my Vermont Country Store catalog what seemed to be a the reincarnation of this treat. Aside from the hard candy top and bottom, the "sponge" candy that was snuggled in the middle was truly the delightful and tasty memory come back to life for me. Thank you!!!
