NOT AS ADVERTISED
Sorry Vermont Country Store; this product underwhelmed me. Only a very few pieces were of the 'honeycomb', melt-in-your-mounth variety. The majority of this molasses candy was hard as a rock and had to be broken up with a meat mallet into smaller pieces to even approach edible. Even then, the candy did not melt, so either the product was old or I misunderstood the ad in your catalog. I threw away two of the three bags in my order.

Reminds me of my Childhood
As a child 45 years ago, my mother introduced me to puff candy. We called it sponge candy because it looked just like a sponge. The taste is comforting and it melts in your mouth! Yum!

old memories revisited
thank you so much for this gift of my childhood. my grandmother would make this, though she called it soda candy. being a family that well rembered the great depression, this was an inexpensive, yet very tasty addition to our christmas celebration. i have shared this with others, without tellling them what are the ingredients are, and have gotten some interesting resonses. my mailman thought it was cotton candy puffed..haha
